I think that it is related to damage. I just focused on using combos and she only ever said things along the line of that she likes what she sees and that she is interested in what I do next. I think that you need to survive/deal enough damage to get to a specific event in the fight. It's a WTF kind of event so it will stand out when you get there. She keeps healing so I don't think that you can actually defeat her.

You cannot defeat her, you have to survive long enough until the battle ends.
Try combo heal + water element attack to heal, and deal damage using combo focus + grass element attack if you think you can withstand the next two attacks.

So, is it actually possible to do the quest for the library/tips guy? I went through the cave looking for the bookshelf he was talking about, but found nothing.

the bookshelf is in the new location(mountain pass). To unlock it, you will have to pass Nova trial.
If you don't know where she is, she is in the rift near the gleam forest entrance.
Ah, yeah I missed the part where I had to go back and speak with her to go to the caves, I thought I just had to go there and use the item she gave me, thanks mate.
So I got it to work by using reckless slam specifically the one that takes around 140 hp to use

Dunno about the side quest but you need to finish inside and outside of nii to get that missing one. for stripe u have to sit for a second idling on her first scene without licking. Unfortunately I don’t know how to unlock the other It just kind of happened for me but it has something to do with the lingerie setting

both Nii's locked scenes can be unlocked if you watch both orgasm animation till they end.
stripe's third scene can be unlocked if you play her idle animation for a few second, and try play both idle and orgasm animation with lingerie off for the forth scene.
as for the side quest, you will find the client in a hidden location called mysterious island, which is located on the right side of the map screen(it's a small isle). Click and hold you mouse for a second and you will get teleported there.
If there permanently missable events? I refused to buy the dirt from the fox and he disappeared, also Vail (the shopkeep) didn't unlocked any scene after I completed his quest. I chose "We'll see each other later", should've been the other option?

if I remember correctly, you can only unlock side quest scene after you complete the quest and choose the right option to trigger the event. There is even a hint to tell you that you can only unlock the scene during this conversation.
I don't remember any hint in this case. Only for Vii and Stripe (which, funnily enough, can be accessed at any time later). I feel like I'll need to start fresh again, but the grinding isn't that fun. I hope rpgm save editor works fine with it.

Both Stripe and Nii are main quest characters, unlike side quest characters, they have their own animations. Side quest characters only have one image. I replayed one of the side quest to get the hint before the option, here is the hint, which means you can only unlock the scene by choosing the right option.

I don't know if, in the future version, you will be able to unlock the scene by talking to the character after the quest, but it indeed sucks a lot if you choose the wrong option and miss the scene. Hope they add an option to that, 'cause grinding in an adult game is pretty odd to me XD.

I went and replayed this part. There's no such hint for Vail. I even tried to finish the quest with no barrel damage at all. Vail says "you know where to find me" and there's a text how he's blushing as he leaves, but talking to him in town just opens the usual options. Maybe it's bugged, idk.

Do you get the option "see his inventory" when you talk to him in town, I remember that's the option to trigger his scene. Have you used the transgender potion in that goat's shop? Vail's scene is M/F so the protagonist has to be female.
...I didn't. I'm not into transformation content, and I'd rather male protags for these kinds of games. Didn't even realized that was an option, lol.
Kind of a cop out to have a shy femboy NPC and not put a scene with him as bottom, but whatever. Transformation is kind of a Quetzalli staple anyway.
