Personally I favor games like this without a time limit, simply because it goes against the nature of "discovery". Assuming the future size of the game around it's completion, there will be alot to do, and wasting time by running around or forgetting to do jobs, just to be short a few bucks kinda sucks.I think it's fine to have a time limit personally, but I know players tend to hate anything that feels like a crunch. Even the OG fallout gets flack for it's time limit, even though it's incredibly difficult to actually hit it. You can always make it toggle-able though. Most players seem fine so long as it's not forced on them.
Funny thing is, the way it is now, that the "looming dread" is more of a story MC-Guffin then a gameplay mechanic gives opportunities in said writing of the story.
At least that's my take on it.
The fear of waisting time and/or an opportunity leads to save-scamming...
