I must be doing something wrong, because I can never get my old saves to work whenever I try to transfer them from the old file to the new one. It straight up makes it so that I have to start a new game if I copy-paste. I know I can just use the save file provided by the team, but I like the sense of continuity that comes with using the same save file. Any ideas?

How do saves work in the game?

Included save
There is a save included in save slot 50 on anything non-mobile, which will start you at the beginning of the newest update. We can't provide a save for mobile at this time.

Old saves
Your old save will work as long as it's a save from 0.5 or later, as saves from before then are incompatible. We try to avoid breaking saves as much as possible, but in active development it is nearly impossible to do so. The easiest way to transfer your saves, is to drag the save folder from the old version into the new one and overwrite—although you may overwrite save slot 50 that comes with the download. If you want to avoid doing so, then manually transfer the global, config and the specific save file you want, such as file1.

Mobile saves
As long as the save is compatible with the new version, simply updating the app will transfer your saves over automatically. Deleting the app will wipe your saves—this cannot be undone. Because of how the saves work on mobile, you can't transfer saves to or from your mobile. If old saves are incompatible in a new release, you'll have to start from the beginning until we have found a solution. We are working on it.

Basically, if you only copy over the save file, the game won't know the file is there because that information is stored in the global file. So you transfer the global file with it, or you could save in the slot you want e.g. slot 20, and then move save file20 over and overwrite.

Thanks for the help. I wasn't a part of the Discord channel before I asked that, but I just joined. If I have any more questions like this in the future, I'll check that out first instead of asking on here.

Games Breaks after Teacher scene, now the screen is zoomed in. I'm at the part where you're supposed to talk to the cousin in class, but I can't see that side of the screen now because I Can't see the entire screen. Any way to fix this?

No need to start fresh. That's why there's always a save in slot50 that starts where the last version ended.

The Dev spends more time making doodles than doing actual work on the game. There are more work done on doodles than new artwork in an update typically. He also said in a few Subscribestar comments that nothing will happen with Leslie until version 10. He's at version 6, and it takes 6-7 months to get a new version, and it'll only be a .5 incremental increase. It'll be 4 years before he gets to version 10 at this rate. The Dev is just milking the patrons. People see the doodles and think "Oh, he's doing work" , but he's just doing that to placate people and likely procrastinating on the actual game to just earn more in the long run. The last update was pretty much just Brenda, and a very small amount with Leslie. After waiting 6 months, that's all he gave, that's total crap.

you want speed, the devs gotta move over to renpy. its stupid simple and much easier to fit this game in a open vn style. But that takes time too.

Not going to lie, this is the first update I felt sorry for the father. Coming from a broken home, I know how bad it sucks. Of course that didn't stop me from enjoying the ride lol. Great job Breadman

Mc dad is a full on narcicist.
my theory is he was trying to seperate mc from his mom since he was young. Maybe even all the kids have no love from him, based on the way he treats ash too.
ever since mc almost drowned- the mom got over protective. Then the arguing got bad. Mc dad probly had it out for mc since then.
its kinda sus the way he cant wait for mc to be alone, just so his wife can serve his every need like how it used to be.

Because of how the story has gone there are scenes that can't be repeated like Brandy's BJ or Sab/Brenda's repeats.

There is a replay room, you get to it by clicking on the pentagram in your bedroom cupboard.
