If I fail/refuse to pay taxes in town, I go to the brothel for 7 days but only get 56 cum out of it. However, if I work there 1 shift voluntarily I get 116? Also, why doesn't wearing the purple plug boost cum obtained while working in the brothel in either situation?

I'll need to double check, but I could have sworn the plug did boost cum received from working.
As to the cum received for not paying taxes, it made sense since it was a punishment but if you think of it canonically it doesn't make much sense.
Dunno, might change it. I'll think on it.
I mean, sort of, I guess? Regardless of what gender you choose you end up playing as a succubus. So, no matter what, choosing a gender doesn't really matter much as you end up being a girl anyway. Without spoiling too much on it though, all your gender matters are for some dialogue, and potential options, later in the game.
Edit: That is unless it's changed since I last played that is, been around 2-4 months since I last played.
Also, a question, when are your wings supposed to grow? Restarted just to see if there was anything new, and to refresh my memory on things. Stuck at the mountain as they haven't grown yet, so I can't get the 5th Journal entry. Almost lv20 now, and I swear they grew before this last time I played, idk if my game is just bugged or what.
Edit: Decided to get Yuki while trying to figure it out and it auto removed her collar and auto selected her dress as well. Got home with her, had the whole conversation about the collar, then bam nothing further to do, auto selected the purple dress.
Edit 2: I did eventually get it, though it didn't give me a notification I had wings, just went back to the mountains and tried that path again and it let me. So, idk what's going on with it.
At the end of Chapter 4 now, which iirc was as far as the game had last time I played. I could be wrong on that, just remember clearing Chapter 4, or beating/coming to a truce with Alaric and Seraphina. To be fair last time I played the mimic wasn't a thing either, that or I just never seen it or had it mentioned in the Chapter 4 review thing.
Well finished that playthrough and dawned on me there was one thing I completely forgot about. That being the bar maid you meet in the tavern. Doing another new playthrough, due to that, and no issues yet that I've noticed, besides maybe her. Did you end up removing her? I don't remember her name, but I can't seem to get her to show up at the tavern. Maybe I'm just unlucky with the random event, if that is how you get her to show.
Question in regards for the Slavers at Yuki's home, do you have to be on an Evil route to shift their perspective, or is there a way to do it regardless? I've only ever gone with the Good route I guess and it just says, "You're not evil enough for this." when I want to.
You need to grow wing to enter the steep path and you'll find the diary 5, or you can bypass it by type in console
SugarCube.State.variables.arachnejournals = [true, true, true, true, true, false, false, false, false]; it will automatically get all of 5 diary without exploring the mountain lol.
From what I understand, the tag is mostly about transparency, not banning anything.
Some people want to avoid AI content, others don’t care, so a tag just makes filtering easier.

Any chance you happened to cheat your level?
I'm not accusing you nor do I mind if you do it, but that's the only way I know of that you could miss out on the wings.
When you level up to level 12 there's a whole scene and an image when they grow. You wake up from a dream and it automatically plays.
Or maybe you skipped over it thinking it was a dream?

Oof, it's been so long since I've touched any of the code here that it took me awhile to find. And the writing for some of those tavern scenes was so bad that I spent some time rewriting it before responding to you.
Anyways, you have to finish your charm training with Rhelyla first. After that you have the option to flirt with the waitress at the tavern.
She shows up again in chapter 5 if you slept with her in chapter 2.

Yeah, I'll add it to the hints notebook next update. I keep thinking I already did this, but if you're asking I must not have. I'll check later in either case.
No. You just need to have defeated the boss of chapter 1, and unlocked the "dormant power" ability. I ended up not doing a whole lot with that power, but it is necessary for a lot of things in chapter 2/3.
Plus for the life of me during my last play through I not sure if did something wrong or not but couldn't even re-exploring at night obtain the 9th journal entry.
I usually try to avoid giving everything away in the hints notebook because I really have mixed feelings about it. What I've been doing lately is adding hints after you already missed it (so next chapter), so that players can go back and do it again if they wish.
Anyways, I'll check this and add some hints there if I don't already have some. In short, every single path has 1 hidden journal.
Hmm, maybe instead of adding hints on how to access each journal, I should just add a hint letting you know which path you've missed a journal on.
Also on my most recent play through, before end of chapter 2
I wasn`t able to voluntary work in brothel, is there any other requirements to do this as i can go do the lessons fine but after lessons done I can`t work at brothel.
This means your acceptance wasn't high enough.
Originally the game required a bit more exploring which practically guaranteed the player would have more acceptance. As I reduced the grind though, that made it easier for players to not have a super high acceptance rate to work at the brothel.
Going off memory, I believe you need 75% hunger, or an acceptance rate of 50 or higher.

Yeah, some people won't touch something with Ai art on principle. Which I get, to an extent.
IMO, indie devs are the people who should be benefiting from AI. Yet we have companies like Activision using AI at every corner and no one bats an eye.
That said, I'd actually prefer to have an artist, but when I started this game that wasn't possible.
It's possible now, and I have already hired an artist for my next game, though things have been slow going so if things don't pick up I might need to start searching again.
Played the game already years ago and it is a nice game, but couldn't really get used to the "loli"-style MC, I am into more "mature" looking and curves. But good luck with.
