A great game, took me 40 hours for the first playthrough, but it has a few flaws so I can't give a 5/5 score.
First, the good:
The story is great, filled with many interesting plot twists, (basically, if you see the disclaimer at the start "This is a Work of fiction. etc..." you know the story is good.) The characters are great, you get to learn their stories.
The actual gameplay is turn based RPGMaker, you run around open chests, get items, fight enemies, There's a real item, weapon, and equipment system in the game, with leveling up characters gain new skills which are crucial to learn, so read them carefully. You spend money for buying consumables mostly cause the best gear is found while exploring.
The bosses are challenging, you need to create a strategy and keep using it until you win, there's a generous retry button if you get killed, Items which grant special resistances are the key here, so read carefully what they do, and NEVER SELL ITEMS!
The story is, you are the leader of the demons jumping out of the underworld to conquer humanity with all the demon forces with you, but this time to avoid the mistakes of the past, you as the leader are tasked with carefully conquering human cities and replacing their tyranny with prosperity and stability, since literally 40% of the humans have been enslaved. You look human but actually you are a demon because <spoilers>, the strong desire for justice against the evil humans who enslaved so many people and the preservation of the demon race is the main character's motivation, and in the end you manage to conquer the world and remove the evils that caused slavery (ehhh not quite, <spoliers>).
The music is really good too, it has some classic RPGM music for ambient and for combat and for story events.
So, why is this game not a 5/5 then you might ask? Well, let me tell you.
The bad parts:
The item system doesn't have a "equip the best gear" button, so you need to spend a lot of time manually scrolling through your inventory to equip the best items, it's annoying.
After you meet new characters and when they join your party, the chains and metal collars which kept them imprisoned in slavery are never removed, at all, in the entire game. How can your companions say "We have conquered another city, we freed the slaves" wile, literally being chained, and fighting like this? The answer here is that some artist was too lazy adding another character sprite where they are not in chains, so they just left it like that, really dumb.
There's one flaw with the story. The story path is linear, there's exactly one ending which is ummmm, at first, yay we beat the final boss, we ended slavery, but then, bad things happen <spoilers>. This game desperately needs multiple endings where, where somewhere in the story there's key decisions where you decide to be a defender of peace and an ally to humanity, or a typical demon who seeks to destroy humanity. There could also be ending variations based on how horny/corrupted/abused the main character is you get different ending. But nope, none of this exists in the game, it has only one linear path.
The only "alternate endings" are one part in the story where you get killed during the story when a big dramatic moment happens, to avoid this you are required to open a fucking guide, so that's what I did there and select the second dialogue option. The other "alternative ending" is where you get defeated and captured as a slave. More on that below.
When you get captured and enslaved, you are thrown into an evil dungeon where you and your companions get horribly abused, the game quickly turns into a horror game pretty much. In terms of story, this shows tyranny which is well made according to the rest of the story. But the problem is that in terms of gameplay you only options are, talk to people in the dungeon and see the evil here so nothing changes, or try to escape in the labyrinth which REQUIRES A GUIDE! This makes this horror section a terrible waste of time. And that guide says what? it says YOU NEED ALL THE CHARACTERS WITH YOU TO COMPLETE IT. Really really dumb.
And now, the H-scenes, the main reason for a 4/5 rating.
All the H-scenes are 2D images, absolutely no animations. And what are these scenes exactly? Well, you would expect to see in-battle H-scenes where your companions get stun locked and they need help to break free, or something, right? Nope, that doesn't exist.
One type of H-scenes is, you and your companions selling sex for special currency inside of a kingdom best described as "Horny Disney Land", and everyone hates this OBVIOUSLY, but the main character says "guys, we need info, we gotta farm money to buy the info, please endure this pain", really really dumb, If you actually wanted to see these scenes you need to grind and wait for RNG, which is really really dumb, so even if you wanted to watch porn you can't have fun, you just can't. In this kingdom every companion can lose their virginity in a "wholesome way" by filling in a personality test and having a magical human appear only once to match them and to make them feel safe and happy, which is kinda wholesome I guess, but again, this is a kingdom where your goal is to sell sex for money, that's not wholesome at all.
Another type of H-scenes is the slavery dungeon in the Bad End. That's just a horror show, you will not have any fun.If you don't believe me then open the game's gallery online and see that you won't have any fun.
And the last type of H-scenes, there's only one actually, there's a story moment where the main character gets vulnerable and alone with one of her long-time companions <spoilers>, and there your companion decides to rape the main character while she is drugged and cannot fight back. This is unavoidable in the story. The last time I saw "Your own allies raping your for fun haha lol" Was in Monster Girl Quest, and it is just as stupid here. And, during this sad rape scene, the game plays joyful happy music, and the game event text is saying that this is a cute remantic moment between these 2 characters. THIS IS NOT A HAPPY SCENE, THIS IS TORTURE, THIS IS RAPE, YOUR STORY WRITERS MADE A MISTAKE IN THIS CHAPTER! After the scene ends the main character realises she was raped by her own companion, she says she will remember this tragic moment, but then she decides to thank her companion for keeping her safe while she was vulnerable, otherwise she would have been caught by the enemy and it would be game over from there. Bullshit like this needs to be optional, a.k.a. to either politely ask for consent, or to just refuse to rape your own ally. I just hate this scene.
So, TL DR, story good, normal fights are a grindy meh, bosses are good and challenging, no alternate endings, read the guide, fun porn you will not find here definitely. 4/5.
