VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Depraved Awakening [v1.0] [PhillyGames]

Great story.
It's hard to find an adult game that have a good story with a great art/CG now aday. Most of adult game about is how to bang this girl or haw to create a harem, but this game gave us a filling like we watch some good movie not just play it. It's worth your time for sure if what you seek is a great story h game. Sorry for my bad eng anyway.

Actual interesting story and atmosphere and great girls with fun personalities. Especially having a character with daddy issues who isn't your actual daughter is really hot and not something I've seen done well before.

Depraved Awakening is THE fucking gold standard for what an adult 3d rendered visual novel is and should be. A perfect ten when compared to any (completed) adult VN on the market. It's not without flaws though, I will list them later. I have now played my fair share of VN games and this is by far the best (completed as of July 2019) game of them all. Though there are a few in development right now that I feel may have the potential to top this we will just have to wait and see if that happens. So far, if you are looking to play a complete game with realistic violence, dirty sex, intrigue, a captivating story with well written dialogues and a satisfying ending then this game is for you. The choices feel real and have impact, making the replayability of this game high.
The dirty sex scenes are really depraved and gives the name of the game justice. I felt really bad watching a certain innocent selfless and cute character being forced to fuck a disgusting gangster. PhillyGames really knows how to turn my stomach by feeding this poor girl to the wolves. -And not just once! No other adult VN has had this emotional impact on me.
The music is great, the characters feel real and engaging. This is just an all around great game with a great story.
Now to the (small) defects:
Why oh WHY must the MC chose to pull out from great sex to finish on tits/in mouth/on face? This makes no sense to me at all. Especially the scenes when MC is drugged. Would he really have the mental faculties to pull out? Is shooting in girls faces his kink? If so, why can't I chose it to NOT be my MC:s kink? This irks me. I don't like being forced to play a fanatical face/tits sprayer if I don't have to.
Here's how sex should go: Guy about to cum - Guy announces he's about to cum (if he's nice, otherwise he just shoots) - Girl: Yea do it!/Don't cum in me! - Guy shoots as requested or (if he's a dick) inside. It's not hard people. Watching pull out game happen for the first half of this game had me feeling teased for no reason. In real passionate sex people don't pull out and they don't give a fuck about consequences. It's what makes the passion believable. I feel the sex scenes suffer a bit from too-much-porn-syndrome.
Speaking of creampies, I feel this game does not take these scenes seriously. Cum is not rendered very life-like and the cum scenes are often just the screen blinking followed by cum magically appearing somewhere on/in the girl. Or we don't get to see the aftermath at all. Just blinking screen then fade to black and "---3 hours later... ---"
Another (slight) negative is that the animated scenes in the beginning of the game are a lot weaker than what they are closer to the end. I can almost feel the hardware being upgraded or the budget being expanded as the game goes on (which may be completely natural, because that's probably what happened) I wouldn't mind a 1.1 version of this game with all animated scenes being upgraded to the same quality as in the end of the game.
Also story wise, I feel that showing how the anime girl requested the drinks being spiked was way too much exposé. A smart reader could have figured that out without it being shoved in our faces. The anime girl being evil could have been a nice story twist if delivered correctly. Now it just feels a bit... meh. Also why is there an anime girl in this? All other characters seem natural and believable. And what's with the "meanwhile at evil headquarters"-scenes? Unnecessary and too much exposé.
This is all just nitpicking though. The game is truly great and warmly recommended!
(And to you faggots rating this game 1/5 or 2/5 just what in the FUCK are you comparing it to? I get that if all you are into are metroidvania futa tentacle rape games then maybe you wold give this game a 1 or a 2 but it's not like you were deceived when downloading this game into thinking it's something it's not. If you rate this game a 1 or a 2 then I NEED to know what a 5 is to you, because I've looked around and nothing I've encountered would be even 1 or 2 points higher on any scale than what this game is. Are you just shills for other games trying to get your game to the top of the ranking lists? A 1 or a 2 makes absolutely no sense! Please explain it to me!)

An interesting story, but its execution is not my total pleasure, yes, it is a visual novel and therefore it has a lot of text, but sometimes I feel that it has more text than I lose a bit the interest to continue reading, the art of characters and scenes are pretty good, much better than other games, are those that have something curious.

This game is impressive in every possible way.

It has excellent visuals, music, and atmosphere. The story is suspenseful, the game has multiple endings, and there are many path variations to explore as you play through the game. These paths are opened up by the previous choices you make, sometimes because of how you handled a specific situation, other times because of the effects of cumulative choices made to increase your stats. These stats include lust and affection points for the main women in the game, as well as a depravity score for your character. The depravity score is hidden, but the others can be viewed at any time by clicking on the stat bar in the upper right corner of the screen. There is also a gallery that will allow you to replay scenes once unlocked in the game.

The only major complaint I have with the game is that there is a very out of place joke about another game in the middle of a dramatic action sequence. It was a gag that disrupted the flow of the climactic chase scene and really took me out of the moment.

The best game I have played since joining f95. Normally i'm mostly into AIF TADS games, their storyline are often more enjoyable (IMO). But this game, wow. It's replayable, great renders, great story. If you haven't played it yet, do yourself a favor!

I've finished only 1 root with korean girl (Sorry, but i can't read it again for unlocking all roots). What can I say? Didn't like this novel.
Plot 1/10. In general story is сomical in her absurdity. This is "noir detective"? O realy? Very primitive story in every respect. I was doing the facepalm many times when I was watching the turns of the story. It's worth adding a "parody" tag

Animation and music not bad.8/10 But that doesn't save a story. This novel made me regret wasting my time on it.

Here we find an interactive action movie with high erotic content.
Scenes well set, you are enveloped by the atmosphere of the game.
The story is long, complete and very well carried. And during its evolution the shooting, death, danger, lies and grudges surround the characters.
The characters are very successful and very realistic.
Extensive interaction, meaningful dialogues, and no repetitive loop.
A job well done without a doubt.

Great game, played once and probably finished the "Good" path but judging by how this Noir story went, it was so perfect I kinda don't wanna replay it and make different choices. Went in for a Depraved Sex game, found a rare Adventure game Masterpiece the likes they don't make anymore.

High expectation and cruel disappointment.
Story could be better, especially in terms not to force you to dislike MC from early beginnings (unless you have "thing" for MC acting like horny bunny with widows). There goes big, big, extremely big minus for unavoidable content and absence of option to refuse that, let's be nice and say - chick.
There are a lot more "holes" in the story, which just can't be named. There is also a lot of boring jibber jibbrish, which it seems to be there just to increase number of letters and prolong duration of gameplay.
Characters (including MC) are mostly shallow and dislikable.
Renders are from extremely good to, let be nice again and say - questionble quality.
Game mechanics are only good part of this game, cause there are no bugs and it is nicely designed.
Deleted and soon to be forgoten.
Advice for others - avoid.

The game has a great, noir atmosphere. The story and characters are very memorable (and pretty hot), and the soundtrack is actually incredible in its resonance and ability to tie the rest of the game together. I would highly recommend this game if you're looking for a deeply story based game that still has a plethora of hot sex scenes.

The story is done well but what is good about this EGame is the intense atmosphere at times and visuals/art that are done with care (yeah there are some failed renders too ), private detective role is done great and would have been even better if it was not for some strange vibes with mc and other girls (it's like he is some sex demigod or something )... also some "choices" and some characters (mostly what they say or even do) and erotic scenes simply don't make sense or at least to me are weird or could have been better. Oh one more thing, the good guy or faithful only path should have been more rewarding.

The story started great, but I thought it fizzled out by the end. I started losing interest after the whole Patrick debacle. The OST is great, the writing is good and the game feels more "mature" in it's overall tone compared to other adult games. I prefer the creator's other project to this one, but it's still worth checking out. The whole detective/noir setting really added to the immersion aspect of the story.

This Review is based with my personal experience with the actual and completed Version of the game 1.0 , with my specific opinions and feelings.

There already so many reviews here , I don't want to be repetitive , because everything have already been written and I'll try only with my words to respect the work that the Dev made here : This is not just an Adult Game , this is an Awesome Opera .
PhillyGames has raised the normal standard of writing a Visual Novel to another level ; nothing will be like before if somebody other will want to develop another game with a Noir/Detective Topic.
Just one think I don't agree about some other comments that I read about the less importance for gaming between the Story and Sex scenes.... Don't believe this !!! Sex scenes and rendering are Awesome and is all together Visual with writing that make this Opera a Unique Masterpiece of his Genre

Pros
-Story and plot : it's like to read a Noir Erotic book , with Choices that have big impact in the story and in the developing ; in this occasion the Author is absolutely perfect , every gamer will stay in front of his monitor to know what it could happen after
-Script : the timing of writing is right and suspense is dosed in a perfect way , with specific words at right place in the right moment
-Most of the relationships are really interesting and originally , every girls here have a different personality and behavior
-There are many different endings with completely different paths ; this make all story more interesting and not boring at all.
-All girls are amazing and really beautiful , renders are absolutely fantastic
-Sex scenes are so hot ; here rough way to make sex it's absolutely the must , if you like dirty talking is the right place to play , but in every case there are full of choices that is possible to make , so everybody can make what like more;
-The Animations absolutely amazing , made with great unique care
-Last , but not least ,the Music : like have to be in a Noir Opera , music must have not only a significance part and have to underline some important choices and events , but must accompany the player through the game ; In DA the music is central in the game and not a side dish, all themes came inside you in your feeling , maybe melancholic and sad but always right in the timing of the game

Cons
-There are no cons , but if you don't like Noir or Detective story and Graphic violence , this in not the best game to play

Overall , till now I was absolutely objective and just for all thinks I wrote before this is a not only a game worth to play , full 5 stars review , but a Massive Shining Masterpiece.
But I want to finish with something subjective to say thank you to the Author for all emotions that I had in a accurate moment , in one of the most crucial event of the game : I still remember like now the scene about one Character running in a green lawn , in the sunset , with Strings and Violins music theme; first time I played , arrived at that moment , I stay 20 minutes just me and my headphones in front of my screen without words and only my emotions and tears , alone me and the Stars ; this is is an emotion that I've have every time I think at that specif moment, also now.
So I really suggest everybody , to play this game , to enjoy , to scream , to cry , to hate , to have all this emotions that author was able to give us with a so impressive cleverness . Without any doubt this game is a pearl in the ocean that you could find 1000 miles deep.

One of the best VN that I had the pleasure to enjoy. The renderings, soundtracks, and the amount of content that the game gives to us is something that I haven't seen either on films. The characters in this game are also fantastic, but also all have their own personalities and problems. I actually felt for all of them and wanted to help them.I don't even know who my favorite girl is. The villains in this game are also fantastic

A fantastic game with a great storyline. The characters are quite fun and the action and mystery element keeps it interesting. Also seeing the evolution of the animations is quite interesting as it shows how much the developer has improved over the course of time. His next game is also pretty epic.
