Because they are rubbing it in everyone else's faces. Don't even try to pretend that they aren't doing it deliberately to get a rise out of people. In most places that's called "trolling" and is looked down on.

Don't get me wrong, i absolutely love this game, and i think it's actually the best western VN made so far, even if there is a preciuos few well deserving competitors. And i think it should be regarded a lot more than some popular college freshman's experiences...

But honestly, what is the main plot of this game? Where is the story going if anywere at all?

There is a shining high tech thinghy that will mean something... eventually?

But so far the story is mostly random events to build up the main factions of the story (and what events! I loved every second) and the story is not really moving at all yet.

It has been several years so far.

i start to wonder if this game or even the genre will grow too old before it can actually even forsee its completition.
