It is certainly the inescapable fact; having a lot of porn in a porn game. There are plenty of regular VNs though for players who are looking for more wholesome vanilla relationships.
With Desert Stalker it is all a matter of how you personally play the game. You can be the ultimate heartless bastard like my character or you can choose to play as a more kind-hearted family man (who does not prey on his household). Boring to me, but an equally legit play style. I can't remember any sex scenes or grapes in this game that are mandatory. There might be a few mandatory battle killings yes, but your character is not forced to torture innocents (or even enemies?) as I recall.
I never understood people (not you but generally speaking) who know what DS is all about but continue to play the game and then grumble about the completely optional amoral sex and violence content.
