Not sure where you saw such comments, but he doesn't get rid of the beard.Hi, I am trying to decide if this game is for me:
When does MC lose the beard?
He looks like a cartoonish pirate with it and according to some comments in this thread he gets rid of it eventually.
Could you tell me the exact version/scene/playtime where he gets rid of it?
Game looks very interesting overall.
If a decisive fact for you to play Desert Stalker is knowing if you're able to shave off Zaton's beard, then I'll suggest you to look for something else. Maybe the comments mentioning the MC getting rid of his beard were probably Igor's boyfriends believing he was the main protagonist again.Hi, I am trying to decide if this game is for me:

Thank you, much appreciated! It can't be guaranteed, but I don't think they will do another major code rework or another major Ren'Py version upgrade.
Seeing a post by a like minded player, who actually did jump the fence. What's the sandbox like?I gotta say, i'm suprised.. in a very good way. I HATE Sandbox games with every fiber of my being, but give them occasionally a chance if there are good renders and a WT Mod available and i'm so f´ing glad that i did it with desert stalker... damn what a story and the girls are all top notch (yes even the raider girls) Ivy is besides the family girls the best girl imo
Not a fan of sharing/ntr stuff, and i have to thank the dev for the option to disable the sharing content, otherwise i would have missed an awesome story.
Here is just one perspective re: the sandbox.Seeing a post by a like minded player, who actually did jump the fence. What's the sandbox like?
I'm still on the fence, good renders or story ain't things that pull me over the fence, that's how much I detest sandbox games...
And the mention of those other two possibles put me off even more,
but I'm openminded enough to hear the reasoning from someone feeling the same who did decide to try it.
And I don't mean the game hype, I mean what's the sandbox like...
It's not the typical grind Sandbox, it's more like point & click, you just have different locations with different quest/girls.Seeing a post by a like minded player, who actually did jump the fence. What's the sandbox like?

It's not really a sandbox. It's a hub system which lets you choose the order in which you do events. Other than that, it's just a regular VN where most of the choices are for dialogue flavor. There are no free roams, no resource management, and there's not even very much branching.Seeing a post by a like minded player, who actually did jump the fence. What's the sandbox like?

Igor is a better MAN than ZatonIf a decisive fact for you to play Desert Stalker is knowing if you're able to shave off Zaton's beard, then I'll suggest you to look for something else. Just thank the the devs for not putting in trash puzzle and mini games. Oh and btw Shani solo quests SUCK, she will never be a Stalker that dum wannabe bichI like this type of sandbox, is not like typical grindfest sandbox like other games. It's more like you choose wich quest you want to do it first.
Igor is a better MAN than Zaton
game\audio.rpa is a renpy archive file that contains all the mp3s you're looking foranyone know where to find the music for the game? it doesn't have usual mp3 files in the game folders
Or just usegame\audio.rpa is a renpy archive file that contains all the mp3s you're looking for
you can extract or listen to the files directly inYou must be registered to see the links
grviewer runs locally too, has a nice interface, lets you decompile rpyc files and display their content with syntax highlighting, is browser based and therefore os independent and best of all: you can paste a link to it on a forum for anyone to use immediately without having to download something first.Or just useYou must be registered to see the linksso you have the files locally and save a step....
I am not sure I agree with your conclusion. When I just read people saying this was a sandbox I was surprised and thought what you wrote but after thinking a bit more, I don't know. There's truly a sandbox feeling attached to the game that I can't entirely...It's not really a sandbox. It's a hub system which lets you choose the order in which you do events. Honestly, the "Sandbox" tag is even less of an accurate descriptor of Desert Stalker than the "Female Protagonist" tag. At least with the FP tag, it's justified because there is a small part of the game from Shani's perspective even though 90% of the game is Zaton's perspective. "Sandbox" just doesn't fit at all.
Most normal comment from one of Igor's boyfriends.Igor is a better MAN than Zaton
OR use Sam's versatile UnRen, which comes withgame\audio.rpa is a renpy archive file that contains all the mp3s you're looking for

audio
folder (or at least that's true for the compressed version, where everything's in a single .rpa IIRC).
