Even as I'm not AdanGC, I'm pretty sure the answer is yes. And in this case the changes are not trivial, I've been looking at the changed script files and there are quite some differences, so I strongly advice against using the older mod in the recently released 17.2

Whaddya mean, doesn't Adan have a big "Update Mod" button he can just press every time, even when the original game keeps making little-but-breaking changes to prior content? /s
Honestly, despite how much I like this game, this one's on my "wait until it's completed" list just because of how chaotic every single update is, and how often previous stuff gets changed.
As far as I have seen there are only a few sections where the game dosent seam to continue (quests-stages not triggering).
You could just load the save from 0.17.1.1 into 0.17.1.2 to force the game to continue. Save and load the fixed save back into 0.17.1.1 with the walkthrough mod. That fixed the issues on my end.

Just a note here. Have in mind that Desert Stalker v0.17.2 has already been released in Steam and Patreon a while ago (on 1st Jan). There are quite some changes, mainly due to new language translations available (along the usual ton of bugfixes), so probably it's not a good idea to use either Walkthough mods (v0.17.1.1 or v0.17.1.2) over the Patreon/Steam updated releases. Make sure you have the matching version of the game and the WT mod.

Hey do you have any plans to update the AdanGC mod to the current game version, like you did with i believe v0.16c? That mod worked well for me and i had no issues.Thanks

Hi.
Right now this is a tricky question because the game has different versions in the different platforms. Steam has been updated to 0.17.2-hotfix, Patreon is on 0.17.2 I think, here in F95 we have 0.17.1.2, the official Zetan Itch.io page has only 0.17.1.1 for sale...
At the very least I might wait until 0.17.2 is updated here on F95 before even considering touching the Walkthrough Mod, and only if AdanGC is busy and don't plan on doing it on a "official" way.
I will keep an eye on this though, as I haven't played 0.17 yet and I want to (the save-game incompatibility is a pain and having to start again the game from scratch is a bummer
)
