It's always funny when someone beclowns themselves so badly. First thing, that is AI garbage. Anyone who takes anything an AI says as gospel is not very smart. Secondly, even the AI thinks that the saves are probably compatible, that there may be issues. Not that saves definitely won't load, which is what you MFers have been saying. And if you know anything about AI, you know that they always hedge like this if anyone anywhere in the internet has a dissenting opinion. Still, thanks for the laugh. It's not every day that someone makes such a fool of themselves for my benefit.

~ I always love to revisit this scene in the game...so beautiful and heartwarming to see the chemistry that Zaton builds up with his family. Sure, he might be rough around the edges as a Stalker, but given his occupation and the environment they are in, can you really blame him?
Albeit in any event, his caring, compassionate and watchful nature does shine through in scenes like this

Same here man. He loves his family but him and Shani have an extra special bond IMO. Everyone that actually paid those 50 dollars was aware that old saves would be prone to insane errors and were heavily advised to start fresh (we were quite forthcoming about this during the past months), and they were able to play the game just fine. No one actually reported not being able to play it.
Now, if some people in here just rushed to hit download on a leaked beta potentially riddled with bugs and loaded old saves (the exact thing we said wouldn't work), maybe it's on them, idk.
But thank you for being so invested in our pricing policies, it warms my heart.
(plus 900 more for the reworked scenes, some of which were extended).
Our biggest update to date by a large margin in terms of total render count, but "basically a tech update".

Just to clarify the reason we decided to invalidate saves, which is something we tried hard to avoid in the past (it's a shitty player experience).
Moving to a newer version of RenPy gave us the opportunity to rework many fundamental parts of the game (how events are handled, how quests are handled, etc), which meant automatic save compatibility was simply not on the table.
We could have created some manual migration function (and it's still something I potentially want to try), but I decided against it for 2 reasons.
One, I would have to manually map close to 500 variables and objects to their new equivalent but that would take a significant amount of time was simply bottom-tier priority on the "things needed to be done" list.
And more importantly, two, if we did have such a function it would make the beta bug hunting much more convoluted. As it would be hard to distinguish bugs in the new system from bugs caused by the migration.

Yeah, same bro. Tbh I think having close familial bonds is important especially given how hostile Zetan society and the surrounding/warring factions can be at times, between the decayed, mutants, and bandits. Sometimes, you really just need to have that pillar of support to make the best out of your existing circumstances and not give into bleak despair/loneliness which are certainly some themes that can overly plague people in this type of post-apocalyptic environment.
Make the best out of the situation by surrounding yourself with familial comforts which can help give you the strength needed to persevere through trying times so to speak.

How about people, is it worth playing it? I've had 3 updates since I haven't played it. Does it have enough content?
I can't seem to be able to trigger Ain's punishment scene on this beta. No biggie for me since I ain't into that kind of scene and the universal unlocker works just fine, but thought you should know. Could be a bug.
Also, was the slave/servant Fairy suppose to have a different appearance in the harem room? Cause she's showing up with her "freewoman dress" in there.
My original run I had gone through the freewoman route so I never noticed that, but on the one I'm currently on she should be wearing the same dress as Emilia, I think. If that's a bug, then there ya go, consider it reported!
