what are you even supposed to do in the prison, none of the actions do anything. The canteen doesn't give any options but to go back, and all the guard interactions say they don;t increase corruption...

Restart the game and use the option to start after the police thread. Nothing works because you are playing on an old save on which there are no variables from the new version.
Putting game on "ignored" merely for the annoying search page image.

The funny thing is, the download is 5.9gb but when unzipped, it looks like the whole file is 5.5gb. No idea how that happens.
