Patrons do have cheats as one of the benefits, but you can only raise money, persuasion and performance there at the moment. Any game of this type is a bit grindy including mine, but mine is less of a girl simulator, that's why additionally to that 3+ hours grind for new version content you don't have to do 3 more hours of brushing teeth, shaving legs and changing tampons. At some point saves will start to work between versions, but since not all of the mechanics and characters are added - it stays this way.
I don't have option of maxing out specifically level caps even for patrons, I don't like that idea, but if we're talking about relations cap, it takes if I'm not mistaken - 4 gifts to max out 1 level, so if you have money, it's fast. Desire level is raised solely by trigerring lewd events, no help there, but it actually raises faster than relations, that's why I didn't consider adding anything to raise desire faster. Since v0.04 I added the kind of cheat option that instantly max out all progress for one character, that skips everything including quests and just opens up all the events possible, but I put it into expensive tier, because again - not a fan of that idea. Actually, from you I got an idea of adding an item to shop that would help raise desire, so that's an option for future versions.
About indicating progression, I think it's enough to highlight desire or relations if it's capped, no need for more detailed info. I understand that you don't agree as a player, but my opinion - it's a bit excessive. Certainly if I get a lot of complains regarding that issue, I might reconsider, but for now it would stay like this. Though, I'll add another kind of indication - indication of possible progress, so you would certainly know that there is more content for this character and there is a point in raising desire or searching for a trigger event.
