Wait, all of this art is AI Generated?
Yeah, it definitely is. The weird backwards dick on the polar bear guy is a dead giveaway. Plus, he said so himself on the Itch.io page. I hope he's ready for the amount of REEEEEEEE'ing that's going to come of this, because furries in general are super pissed about AI art taking their commissions and using their art as training material for models.

Not that I really care, personally. Stable Diffusion has been making my graphics card go BRRRRRR for some time now, and it's a lot of fun to mess with. It's only a matter of time before projects like this become commonplace. The strength of the writing and characters involved in a game/visual novel are going to become the selling points--not the art.

In this day and age, it is normal to get one or two screens and quickly want to become a patreon. lol

I feel like some of the text may be AI too because there's like, errors all over the place. Not like ESL errors, but just straight up like someone knew the words they wanted to type but had a stroke of dyslexia or something. I also couldn't find a single scene, but there's a few bulges and cocks here and there. I don't think there's any triggers (e.g., talking to one person to have sex with them, or them moving to a different scene). As far as I know, I've examined literally everything (including bulges and talking to people, not just "examining" them).

Really, really odd choice to put out a sex game with 0 scenes (art or text), just a few pieces of AIG eye-candy you can't do anything with. The Patreon almost seems like a scam when you have nothing to really show for it.

I hope he's ready for the amount of REEEEEEEE'ing that's going to come of this, because furries in general are super pissed about AI art taking their commissions and using their art as training material for models.
Just the beginning of the end where every job is gonna be replaced by AI anyway, lol.

Myst style? I'm no so into furries, but that's my favorite kind of game! (i would be more into furries if there were also humans, and the mc was a human, but that seems to be kind of rare outside of RPG's.)

It feels like an "AI Generated Porn Game" if it will ever be one :KEK:
Not saying it's a money grab, but we will see.
Anyway good luck to the devs if they are really diligent about this "game".

Eh, don't care about the AI art problem if it's for personal use (free DND Tokens, anyone?), but this is commercial. Also not really the prettiest I've seen. The backgrounds do have a surreal charm to it.

Honestly, my main problem with the app is that it's not a game at all. No story, no interaction beside clicking on things. This is an art gallery. It feels souless and lazy (not just because the AI art, which has surprisingly the most soul in this). A demo is supposed to be more than just... this.

Nah, the arts will always be important (especially for porn game).
What might become less relevant is "the skill / talent of drawing".
AI is just a tool, you still need "skills/talent" to make good arts, be that from manual drawing or programming.
There are already "artists" selling AI Generated arts, and most of them are just boring and generic AF.

Hard disagree but that's subjective. There's a reason indie games (even chunky pixel-art indie games) are still around. You even had that not-so-recent game come out that was literally designed for blind people because there's *no* graphics/art/etc in it.

As for porn games, I personally enjoy text-only games too. Much of Lustful Desires and Flexible Survival is just text; yet it has some art, but even without it, it'd still be enjoyable.

Anyway, the huge issue here is there's LITERALLY NOTHING TO DO right now. If you could at least sex up the maintenance guy, the random wolf or homeless raccoon in the alley, or anyone. One scene. One trigger. One anything. Right now it's a game-less demo and already asking for money.

Not saying it's a money grab, but we will see.
If you look at it face value, it's very much a money grab. Not saying "it's definitely a money grab", just there's nothing to even see how scenes will be, if there will even be art for scenes, etc. Unless you can get off to the characters you see, in their one pose, you're not getting off til more content gets added.

so, this desperately needs the text to either show up all at once or at least show the rest of the way up if you click.
I've found a weird glitch where if you click during the text and reclick the same thing again, it'll actually scroll faster. You can keep doing this til the text finishes, then the speed resets. I do agree though, it's way too slow.

Considering the other year-long pre-pre-alpha game from this dev (a bare-bones rpg with nothing but some dogs you can fuck and wandering potted plants in an ugly defult desert), which makes a cameo in this game and is called boring, I'd say not to get your hopes up.

Which is sad. I would have liked a furry Myst.

I don't know what you are even on about. All successful / big hit indie games have good / unique art / art-style. Pixel-Arts can also be amazing and appealing. Not to mention that topic was specifically for "Visual Novel".

"Text-based porn game" doesn't mean they Do Not Need arts, but rather the dev are not able to provide.
And Good arts leveraging the user experience by miles.

Funny you even mention Lustful Desires as it has top tier arts among its peer.
Why Flexible Survival is not as big as TiTs / CoC? One reason is it has much less arts - which FS is gradually add in arts.

There's nothing wrong to showcase an idea / prototype, plus he ain't specifically charge people money for it.
But, I just checked the dev doesn't actually have a stellar record: no well-developed games, only couple of quite ambitious projects in limbo.
It will be quite a stretch to even expect anything out of this one.

It has a handful of CG scenes. Vast majority of scenes are text-based with sprites.
My point was some people want all visual scenes, forgetting most scenes in general are a still image or two at best with text carrying it. That said, you don't necessarily need art to be popular. Hell, look at Lilith's Throne being extremely minimalistic with the art/visuals (I'd honestly call it basically text-only) and it rakes in way more than it has any right to.

Why Flexible Survival is not as big as TiTs / CoC?
Because it's simply not as known as Fenoxo's games?

One reason is it has much less arts
Again, Lilith's Throne rakes in some solid cash and has virtually no art, so...

I don't know what you are even on about.
TL;DR: I was saying you don't need art to be successful. It definitely helps, it's just not mandatory.

There's nothing wrong to showcase an idea / prototype, plus he ain't specifically charge people money for it.

In which case you take the pessimistic approach: Assume nothing, can't be disappointed. Surprise update that makes the game good and you're blown away with excitement over something to fap to. ;) (y)

Dude I need to say this, but lustful desires took a LONG time to have any CGs. In the beginning it was all text. The game was all about flirting with bandits and werewolfs. Today, after years we have lots of things
