Disabling F95 keyboard shortcuts

How can I disable that weird functionality? Having links at the top panel (Latest Updates, AI Jerk Off, etc.) tied to keyboard NumKeys is not something I need, and after a uBlock warning as I was browsing one of the F95 pages just because I grazed "6" while trying to hit F5 to refresh the page, do not appreciate in the slightest, either.

Is F95 Staff unfamiliar with this functionality? Trying to hide its existence or something?

Why the silence?

no current option to disable keyboard shortcuts because the option/feature has not been added, you can however make request to add such feature.

Yes, it is a conspiracy to lure you into AI Cumsluts.
...
No, the staff just doesn't care about this extremely critical problem, nor does anyone else.
It's probably a default feature of a forum template that F95 is based on.
Is the entire problem that you fatfingered a button once, and had to press "back" once to go back?
Use adBlock or uBlock to remove bad buttons from existence entirely.

I didn't know you can access LU on 3, pretty convenient.

No, the problem was that "the thing I fatfingered once" set off a redirect block by the adblocker, something I have not triggered for a LONG time.

Use adBlock or uBlock to remove bad buttons from existence entirely.
You cannot "remove bad buttons from existence entirely" on specific browser/extension combos, like the not-so-top-anymore combo of Chrome+uBlock, because Chrome did away with stuff required for various uBlock features to work, and Lite version literally has no custom filter functionality as a result.

One - they could have replied with a "you cannot", you know, the first sentence in the post is a direct no-vagueness question AND they had three months to do so; and two - unwarranted toxicity much?

Tsugumi Insomnimaniac Games well to be honest to you the keyboard shortcuts to me feel like hotkeys, just pressing . (period) anywhere on the forum will open up my alert notifications, whenever i am typing to post a status post and i press the period key it will open up my alert notifications even though i didn't want it to. at this point i think it would be great to know what the current keyboard hotkey shortcuts are, maybe just having an hotkey mapping layout thread to distinguish how hotkeys function on the forum.

This was one of my thoughts back when I discovered this functionality.

Programs have hotkeys, websites have hotkeys, games have hotkeys - not like their presence is abnormal in and of itself -, but what bugged me enough to make a thread, in the first place, was that:

1. I could find no information about it on F95. Essentially, an undocumented "feature". Imagine a game having hotkeys implemented, but there is no tutorial, no key config menu, no list of what the hotkeys do, nor which keys ARE actually hotkeys. Oh, and you found out the hotkeys are implemented because you accidentally triggered one of them, not because you had seen/read/heard that they are in. If there are nifty features for lurking around F95 - cool, I probably would have followed up with something like "what hotkeys are there and what can they do". Alas, stuck at step 1 for months - "make sure the convo has more than one person talking".

2. The behavior itself is suspicious, even if not intentional: a website doing redirects to another domain (that triggers adblockers) via non-intuitive user interaction (how intuitive can it be to be browsing website A, and be redirected to website B via a new browser tab by pressing a number key on your keyboard?).

You have opened a link, opening which was blocked by a blocker. Basically just accidentally clicked an ad.
It is, to put it lightly, not a big deal. More like not a deal at all.

You cannot "remove bad buttons from existence entirely" on specific browser/extension combos
Well it is a shit combo then, is it not? Use another one. And Lite version is called Lite for a reason.

One - they could have replied with a "you cannot", you know, the first sentence in the post is a direct no-vagueness question AND they had three months to do so; and two - unwarranted toxicity much?
It doesn't matter how much time you have when the entire thing should be dismissed in the first place.
And don't pretend like a "no-vagueness" question was not gonna be followed by a "why" question. Which you actually did anyways, after even not getting an answer for the initial one, hilarious.

Toxicity - sure, unwarranted - I would argue not.
* You ask a not-so-smart question (again, to put it extremely lightly, which is why everyone ignores it).
* Then you press, reiterate and insist on asking that question for 3 months, so it's not a one-time occurance.
* And finally you insinuate something to be "suspicious", like implying that the staff is trying to scam you.
To me it looks like a three strikes situation.

"make sure the convo has more than one person talking"
Well, you sure as hell got me talking, hope you're satisfied.
No additional conditions on how the talking goes will be accepted though.

The behavior itself is suspicious,
I told you man, it's a conspiracy. Those damn Illuminati want you to goon to AI.

I did actually re-enable uBlock back when it first went kaput, but as Lady Luck would have it, shortly afterwards I suffered a hardware failure which took the system drive along for the ride so I lost everything, Chrome and already-installed extensions included. Figured it was nice while it lasted, had no idea you could re-add uBlock like that.

Thanks a bunch for the info.
