Ra87 Are you sure it's why it's crashing in the first place? I'm not that familiar with ren'py, but this would be pretty documented by now if having the two executables in the same folder would not work, otherwise I'm thinking ren'py project wouldn't build like that by default if that was a thing. I could be wrong but it seems very unlikely that would be the problem, anyone else has some insight on this?
Regarding the game Odin, it will be a standard point and click mixed with heavy VN elements but to break the feeling of linearity, you can tackle things in a different order, even skip different parts of the game. But at the end of the day, it is somewhat linear, but it will have multiple endings like Tyrant Quest, and probably way more determining choice, and a lot of bad ends. To make it really open world, now you would need a much bigger team.
