Hmm, a bit disappointing update in terms of length, however 2.5 sex scenes is indeed a plus.
Perhaps I'm weird, but hot damn I was really looking forward to the story progression that was teased in this update. Honestly left me more hungry for the plot than the ass.
There were under the hood changes, but I haven't really noticed them. I'm the kind of guy to play compressed versions of things quite often, so render quality is something I only notice if it's atrocious, perhaps others will be able to appreciate that jump more.
The things that did happen plot-wise are neat, giving more context to the island and perhaps alluding to what's generally wrong with it. Damn, still wish there was more plot in this update, just feels like teasing to have so little.

Eh, regardless this is a game I believe in, I'll keep supporting but I am worried about it's pace. The fact the dev has other completed projects is a plus though, but goddamn this artstyle and aesthetic might be too ambitious. It's so fucking nice I worry that the more complex the scenes get the slower dev time will run. [Edit] Initially thought there was a cut corner on a scene here, turns out I'm blind and there isn't.

I hope my worries are for naught, after all in reality a 3-4 month turn around on things like this isn't too bad compared to certain other patreon game devs, just really hope it isn't a continued trend. Seriously though I do believe in this game, it's so fucking good that it made me actually pay for it cause I couldn't wait.

Yeah, it used to be 4 weeks on TQ, from my perspective 2 weeks is not much clearly. The truth is that people supporting this game, in particular, are somewhat more based than for some other games (probably an age thing, I suspect most of my patrons are >30 yo), which means a lot of them only sub to get the last version and that's it, pretty sure they know pretty damn well how to get it for free, the moment it becomes free I usually lost more than half of the new patrons, which is why we are not really growing between versions I think and why it's important for me to not release for free too soon since that's a big incentive for people to join in even if it's only for one month.

It will certainly vary from version to version, so far it was one of the most complex update because we had to imagine part of the layout outside, bg artist had to switch to blender to make believable outside environnement, the script has been rewritten and polished countless times to be more tight than usual, we shortened a lot, it has the biggest amount of sexual scenes etc. It's on the short side in length and that's because almost everything in it is brand new. This might not be always the case, I'm hoping that after R7 we regain a bit of efficiency. R7 has a gambling mini game that is pretty ambitious and will serve as a mean to obtain ton of things, past that point I don't foresee anything big regarding the gameplay loop. Anyway this will certainly be my last ambitious H-game or last h-game if anything so let's see how it goes.

No I'm just realist, a game like this will take time to reach its end, but if there are new games after they will be not be made to this level since I'm already getting health problems and white hairs at 29 yo because of all the stress, have to do some check up in a clinic next month even because of accumulated fatigue so I mean after this game I think I'm done with ambitious project or games, don't know will see, for now it's all good though, just saying how I see it at the present time.

It's imperative to find a balance between work and relaxation so as to not get burned out in the long run, health comes first after all.

Honestly, you had me worried there for a second. Take care of yourself and make sure to not physically and mentally burn out. If it makes you feel better, I started loosing hair when I was 20 and in the army.

Just like someone working at a construction site for years might have ruined hand or back problems, it's the same for everything, except if you don't have to work that is. Well for such an ambitious project then you certainly creating something of a masterpiece, thing is about those updates is that. yeah it's shorter with a bigger delay both considering the background work you and your crew are doing it certainly more merits respect than disappointment.

Honestly my advice would be to go all out with Divimera(at your own pace of course) and then take a long break because you deserve that once the game is finished. despite everything you are on a roll with this game so props to you.

It's not really fair for me to suggest this since I am not a Patron (I would really want to be one if I had the means to able to be one) but wouldn't it be better if you took more time between updates and not be as pressured by time. Everything in this game is so good that it would be understandable that it would take longer to be made. Hope you'll stay healthy man, you really got a masterpiece on your hands here. Good luck.

Personally felt that this last update was rushed, which is understandable since the dev has shed some light on this topic here.

I usually pay the $10 to get the update as soon as it comes out not just because I want the game early but also because I wanna support the people who make it as well. I know the feeling all too well of working your heart into something and people not wanting to at least support you in any way, so I guess in a way its kinda of like being the change you wanna see.

So since I paid the $10 I feel like I can say that it simply wasn't worth it for me because, like I said earlier, you can tell it was rushed. The lewd scenes were alright. I personally don't care for Lady Hale nor Charlotte. Arabelle and Lily are the only LI's I care about and even then, Lily's lewd scene could've been a lot better. The update is story heavy, but I felt like you could've taken some scenes and allow them to breathe more.

I don't know what was going IRL with the devs and it's none of my business, but I think they should learn from this update and really just take the time to make the game at their pace.

The reality is that a large majority of the player base isn't going to pay for updates and they will complain, which is to be expected. But people like me, people who actually pay for the update, would rather wait for a better update than have something that was rushed.

Regardless, I'll still be supporting this game both emotionally and fiscally. I hope people enjoy the update when it makes its way here and continue to support the devs!

I didn't shed any light on anything regarding that, I don't agree with your conclusions. The update wasn't rushed at all, it was released exactly when everything was finished, if anything it would be the opposite since we delayed multiple times to make sure to have everything we wanted in it, anyway better not spoil the content for others. Maybe the update can be seen in a better light once the game moves forward, the Lily scene wasn't made to be a major moment, this has yet to come and pretty much everything was in the spot we wanted it to be. I would say you might not like the direction that the game is taking, but calling it rushed is very very far from the truth. In any case, I think most of your criticism might be resolved once we keep moving forward, and I appreciate the support. Feel free to stop supporting if the direction isn't what you like of course.
Overall, I think it's better to avoid discussions over here like this in the future, better use the discord in that case (also true for me) because it tends to push everyone to reveal private stuff/spoils and so on, and that's not really the place for that.

Having played this game since launch, I know that this game is story centered. I don't expect lewd scenes to come first. Perhaps it is because I spent the money to get the update, but I simply didn't like the update. It just didn't feel like it was worth the money for me. Now if it was for free like it will be soon than yeah I wouldn't have anything to complain about.

That's not to say the rest of the community won't enjoy the update, if anything I hope majority of you guys enjoy it. I guess moving forward, I'll just become a freeloader for this game. Hope you all enjoy the update though when it comes out!
