IMO that particular questline only required common sense. The game tells you Lady Hale likes that kind of flower. So you have a gift you know a woman wants and you have another guy besides you trying to fuck her. What would you do in this situation? If you decide to be a bros before hoes kind of cuck and give it to him, you deserve to miss a shot at that pussy.

It's like a carbon copy of those japanese VNs. Arbitrary choices leading to arbitrary outcomes. Picked the wrong favorite color in a meaningless chat, 10 scenes later game over. Or some scenes just don't play.
I feel you and agree to some extent. I can appreciate situations like that though, in turn of delivering the flower you should end up with a H-scene with someone else. You have the same situation with the candle I think, if you snitch on her or not. This game kinda "guides/forces" our choices by doing this. At least if there is no alternative "reward" so to speak.
I don't mind much still, it's a great game and it's not hard to figure out which choices to pick.

Also on a side note I read on the dudes patreon that his background artist has gone awol, went up in smoke *poff*. Too bad, but I'd be far more concerned if it was the artist who's making the characters

The game isn't hard or long to replay all I'm going to say is that the skip button exists for a reason. Also noticed how much of an asshole tone that could come off as so to be clear just trying to say if you enjoyed the game on a first time through you could enjoy it again especially because some changes were made to make the game more consistent.
