Story,
Honestly I haven't followed Dragonball [which this game is based on FYI] since DBZ so all this about Gods of Destruction etc. weren't all that for me, HOWEVER the game's strongest suit is its somewhat simplistic story. You play as the next God of Destruction, who is basically the Goddest of all the Gods, and so on. If you are looking for a Divine powertrip, this is a good game for it, with decision making choices that reminded me of the petition scenes in Bruce Almighty.
Originality,
It's a parody game, you would probably still enjoy it with minimal exposure to the DB universe. Its OK.
Renders,
This was kind of a letdown because the lewd renders seem really sparse and a bit lazy, but hey it is 2D, and when it works it works. The non-lewd pics like the Dragon, Namekians etc. were rather nice.
Sound,
Some kind of classical music plays on repeat, rather comfy but nothing to write home about here.
Playability,
Plays well [Ren'Py engine] and even the right choices to pick are easily understandable if you are paying attention. The Dev even signposts when to save etc. So kudos.
However, the worst part of this game is the grind to pass days, you run out of energy doing things and its a 3-click process [or more] to get to the bed, quite tedious. That seems to be the general trend in UI design.
Its particularly bad since the events themselves are rather interesting but the monotonous go to sleep pattern kills me. Reduce the number of clicks to action, dude.
It feels much more grindy than it actually is, and that I feel is primarily due to the UI. Give it some thought from a player's perspective.
But simultaneously one of the standout parts of the game is its Game screen with "Select God" etc.
Performance,
Typical Ren'Py game.
Bugs,
I didn't encounter any bugs.
Animations,
I don't remember any animations, static 2D renders are used in scenes.
Voice Acting
Nada.
Grammar,
Well written. Concise and to the point dialogues. Interesting plot.
Amount of content
I would imagine around 4ish hours. Its linear, and mind you the story content actually goes on a bit further after the Dev signpost that story content has ended.
Overall: Fix the UI and general playability and we are golden. Decent effort.
