But with the amount of side-projects all those years it's hard to be sure "what game" you were thinking about.
There's a vault with all .exe versions on the dev's discord, but the 2 pre-1.9.6 public demos are still on kongregate

I have made a newgrounds account just for this and downloaded the .swf file to have it but it doesn't load past the splash screen. Any ideas on how to download it so that it actually works?
I guess it does make a difference if the creator isn´t dependent on their produkt to not starve . . .
Ehm... personally I was either playing from the kongregate website by letting it emulate flash; or playing the exe (which is the swf + the flash executable), I don't know enough about flash to know if kongregate's swf has a depedency...
The exe still works on Win11 at least, unsure if the vault has a swf.

Is it just me or is 2.35 nothing but a tiny stage with infinite mushroom spawns? I'm confused when people talk about other features of the game because I'm not seeing them

V2 is a complete rewrite in the godot engine, so there's nothing playable yet. You should rather play the first two demoes or the 1.96b
That's why the v2 builds are only for supporters while the Flash builds are the one advertised to newcomers :/
