This game have the potential to be the VN counterpart of The Last Sovereign, it would be a shame.Yeah, this might be abandoned, dev is busy making starcraft mods lol
The plot:companion progression ratio is disproportionate, it feels like a slice of life anime, wich is not bad, but the progress of the plot is slow. I think this man favour character development and relationships, and a way to make things more organic or natural is making the progression of the plot part of the progression of the relationships that you have with them.crys hasn't abandoned the game. this is a passion project for him. he wants to do it. he'll get there. mind he is doing almost all of it alone. and the amount of writing he puts into it is insane. literally chatting with him rn, says he is hoping to finish another scene as i type this

if you mean "being able to attack while unarmed", that's already a thing. if you mean a default attack action without having to use an ability, no weapons have that, so it's unlikely.hey cryswar combat question here any chance you'll make punching a action when fighting unarmed

I think he is talking about normal attack that doesn't have cd, don't cost any mana. Just a basic attack you can use whenever like other rpg game.Can you clarify what you mean? that is the way Continuance has always worked, though you're right that either the effect should be fixed or the description should be changed to reflect what it actually does. my guess is that changes to earth magic are waiting for the earth magic trainer to be added, since issues with earth magic aren't that big a deal when most players won't have access to it.Continuance trait from earth magic tree reduce ALL upkeep by 0.1, not just earth channel upkeep. I don't know if this is a bug or a features but i was surprised when power stance, life stream and frozen armor got their upkeep reduced. I'm pretty sure mistral flow was also gonna be like continuance but no, it's only work on aeromancy and no other type of wind magic like gale from pneumamancy for example.

speaking of, though, Cryswar, how's Alicia coming along? i don't know if you've given updates about her on Patreon or Discord, but you said here that her art was done and she'd be added "maybe in the next update or two" three years ago now, and have occasionally mentioned her since as well. i'm not trying to criticize or cast blame, just wondering how she's coming and if she'll be added soon.
The main downsides of Earth magic are that it doesn't have burst healing, its buffs tend to be a bit weaker (but cheaper), and its damage is generally just "good" rather than great like Fire. It's a great generalist element though, that does everything pretty well. It's also one of the best magic elements for battlemage types!Earth magic is truly the best magic among the 4 starting magic tree you get to choose, It has everything, dmg skill, status skill, channel skill for dmg buff, defense buff, heal. And a trait reduce upkeep for all type of channel skill from it own magic tree rather than mistral flow from wind magic tree only reduce upkeep for channel skill from aeromancy. Give it a heal move and it will become the best magic tree beside aether and nether. I'm also really excited for all other type of magic that being hinted at in Celica's training event like combination magic: fire + wind = lightning, earth + fire = magma,... And then there's the spirit magic, there's so many possibility for the rpg aspect of this game.
The writing is also phenomenal, the deepwood's storyline, companions's affection event, trust event, training event, the world building is consistent and amazingly delivered through small hint in every event. I simply can't wait the future updates. Hope you all the best in your life and in the development for this game.
P.S: Please buff mistral flow to be a wind version of continuance.
