So it seems that DLsite no longer wants people from outside japan to purchase items, if it does then i wonder if there is a similar to DLsite but allows people outside from japan to purchae

buying points is sometimes a hassle but using forbooks or whatever name its calling itself for now is okay. Having paypal was definitely the easiest to use tho. Too bad its gone.

the forbooks seems to be ok with visa but contstantly seeing error or card declined with mastercard.

which brand of card do you use with the forbooks?
is it a card from the bank you use? or is it a card bought from a store or one of the digital type of card?
i tried visa/mastercard cards bought from store with the forbooks and the point market but it failed to work.

this option uses the japanese amazon pay "amazon.co.jp" not the american/english amazon.com.

the old dlpay that one had a english amazon.com amazon pay option along with the paypal option.

a american amazon account does not work with this point market amazon pay.

since the amazon websites amazon pay options are region locked , amazon pay japan amazon is incompatible with american amazon accounts and visa versa

It was not DLSite's choice. The two main card brands, MasterCard and Visa, are the ones imposing restrictions to DLSite that DLSite has tried to comply without compromising the NSFW sales, and when complying did not actually work, they worked around said restrictions.
Unfortunately, a lot of the workarounds were shut down as well, so we are left in this situation.

I see eventhough both mastercard and Visa do not want their cards to be used as payment for porn even some sites that sells SFW and NSFW in japan like Dlsite, maybe the site and perhaps other sites thats sells nsfw content must find alternate payment to let everyone buy things from sites that sell both nsfw and sfw in and outside japan, perhapa Dlsite must find some way to allow people outside of japan to get their items both nsfw and sfw and also both Mastercard and Visa didnt realize that their cards are still to purchase nsfw items from some sites like itch.io and attached to paypal used to pay items even itch.io

Hey just a quick assistance, i have dl points and since I am from outside japan with only visa and mastercard debit cards, i will have to pay with DL points instead and i have 1000 point while the total is 6,098 yen and points 609 to pay as stated by the screenshot here (note the items are censored)



but there is one problem even when i select the point section the "purchase confirm" button is not enabled, so i need some step-by-step instructions on how i will purchase items from dlsite with only dlpoints (since we are not allowed to use debit and credits cards outside Japan)

Hey all, just wanted some advice/assistance if possible. I made a ForBooks account in order to purchase DLpoints. I input all the information (email, phone number, name) and received the confirmation email. Clicked on the confirm button which took me back to ForBooks to create a password. Did so and then tried to login, but I received an "incorrect email or password" notification. Figured I just typed the password wrong so I tried again and then tried a few different variations of my usual password when that didn't work. All of those attempts returned the same result.

So I figured I'd just reset my password. Clicked the link to do so, entered my email and hit submit. This sent me back to the login page with the message "We've sent you an email with a link to update your password." Only the problem is that the email never arrived, neither in my regular folder or my spam/junk folder. Tried a few more times all with the same result.

Finally I gave up and assumed I'd screwed up somewhere during the process (maybe I hit the wrong button on the screen when I made my password, that sort of thing) and tried to make my account again. Input all of my information again, but this time it throws up an error saying my "phone number has already been taken." I tried waiting a week just to see if the email from ForBooks was slow in arriving, but it never did.

I'm basically out of ideas and wanted to get a second opinion as ForBooks "help" section hasn't been terribly useful. Anyone else had a problem like this?

This might sound stupid, but did you try entering what you think your password is with caps lock on? I've accidentally created caps passwords before lol.

Other than that, it looks like they've got an inquiry page. Maybe try reaching out through this and see if you can assistance? I don't actually have an account myself, so not sure what else to recommend haha...

First off, I can't read Japanese, so it would help if you translated the page so I can tell what I'm looking at.
If you're using chrome, just right click translate. Firefox, you need to install a translator extension before doing the same.

Second, I haven't made any purchases myself on the site since they disabled credit cards, so not sure if how much I can help... but I'll take a quick look.

Edit: Or just change your language settings on dlsite haha... forgot about that.

So comparing my page in English to yours, it looks like you only have 700 points tied to your account. You probably bought the points from ForBooks but didn't enter in the code they sent to you to add them to your account.

Edit: To be more clear, the price total is 6,098 yen or an equivalent amount of points. It doesn't cost 609 points, that's the amount of points they would give you back if you bought the game with a credit card if I recall correctly. So you can't make the purchase because you have 700 points available and the total cost is probably 6,098 points since I think it's 1-1 yen to point.

It's actually been long enough that I don't remember if I tried that or not lol. I'll try again later today. I wouldn't be surprised if I did accidentally have caps lock on.

I'll also keep the inquires option in mind. I did see it when I first had the issue, but was reluctant to try it since I thought their emails might not reach me if I did try. If push comes to shove I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

when i try to buy from point market the code i get it on the browser page after payment.

i think this email is just some kind of encouragement to keep using point market amazon pay.

as i get similar emails after i use the point market.

i dont do anything , i just delete email and keep using the service as usual.

for me at least point market doesnt wanna work with mastercard i have but when i use visa it works like a charm.

hi i see the issue , you are missing about 5,142 points out of 6,798

so it is like you have$16.56 cents and you need $67.98 cents and you are missing $51.42 cents worth of points , so the finalize purschase butten will always be grayed out unless you put in exactly 6,798 points in the "points you can use 1656 points (eqel to $11.10) use/purschase section"

so you would need to buy at least 5500 points "which is 11 500 point purschases or 1 5000 point purschase and 1 500 poin purschase serial code and to apply those points in the serial code section

since 1 point is like 1 yen/ 1 cent and you have less than 1700 yen worth of points according to this screenshot.

so you can at least buy 1600 points worth of stuff and just put the rest of the items to the buy later section of shopping cart and or your favorites list "since shopping cart/buy later list has item limit of 100 items and anything else once you have 100 item in cart and buy later list goes into your favorites list automatically.

another option is to wait until you have at least 6800 points in your balance and try again.
because no matter what you do in this situation when you have less points than the total "1656 is less than 6798 so it is only natural that you cant proceed.

it is like you are only level 16 and you need to be at least level 68 to enter in another way to put it.
if you available points is less than your total then you cant proceed "you cant buy a 100$ video game using only a 10$ gift card , you are missing at least 90$ in this situation" you only have 16$ and you need nearly $67 worth to buy everything in this cart
