The question would be... what is a woman?

:WeSmart::WeSmart::WeSmart:

Recently I heard that porn addiction is also a significant thing among women. Seems like they expect/compare the skillset of their real life partners with those staged by actors in movies (again, as men many times do, not understanding is as fictional as any other genre). So I can easily see how this can be connected to liking this trope eventually and so on... So yeah, basically your typical 'chad/alpha male fantasy' somehow...

If they have unrealistic expectations of being satisfied in bedroom they are more likely to cheat yeah, especially in today's internet era you can hookup easily through social networks, work, etc....

I heard in some places they did mandatory DNA paternity tests and it turned out around one third of the children were not from the father wife claimed.
If you believe that, I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn. $5 million or best offer.

That is ridiculously high, unrealistic, unbelievable, and feeds into incel propoganda.

If you consider 1.2% of women is significant, particularly when considering 4.4% of men.

Again, the "I heard... " is a huge red flag that perpetuates falsehoods, contradictions, and hearsay which feeds certain individuals seeking confirmation bias.

This was the result of a quick google search.

This was a more indepth search and study backed with data. Do note however I admit that I only skimmed it as I have work soon.

I am not agreeing or disagreeing with the poster you are replying to, but thought I would find out more about the figures.

I appreciate you taking a few minutes for research - and confirms my suspicions about OP's spurious claim.

Even though it is almost 20 years old, I think the key takeaway from the 2005 peer-reviewed meta analysis is: "Few studies have been undertaken specifically to estimate population levels of PD [paternal discrepancy]... For studies based on populations chosen for reasons other than disputed paternity (table 1) median PD is 3.7% (IQR = 2.0%–9.6%). While this is not a measure of population prevalence it does suggest the widely used (but unsubstantiated) figure of 10% PD may be an overestimate for most populations." This is the paper that appears to be the one that is quoted by the person in your your first link.

Searching through other peer-reviewed papers since 2019 that cite the 2005 paper, or other peer-reviewed papers that are found using the search term "paternal discrepancy" also finds very few studies. The vast majority found are discussions on the ethics ramifications of disclosure of DNA results. However, one that jumps out was printed in 2021 looking at about 2 million families in Sweden over the course of several decades: "Hence, we argue that the true, contemporary frequency of misattributed paternity in the Swedish population is , although it may be as high as 3% in persons born in the 1940s or earlier." The authors also state this is comparable to results for other Western European countries.

I also find it interesting that the trend shows the prevalence of PD today is lower than it was during our grandparents' and great-grandparents' time - at least in Europe.

Man's got a college level dissertation on NTR. Never ceases to amaze me.

Different strokes for different folks. If a guy is into something a woman will be too. Genitalia etc doesn't change it. Women love things just as much as men do, they are a just a tad more... subtle about it. Mostly.
