[as-in, your 'cousin' , etc. ? or, as-in an actual 'family friend' . . . like a 'next-door neighbor', etc. ? :unsure:

EDIT : Nevermind . . . Finally 'figured-it-out' . . . :rolleyes:

(btw - Like the Music, so far :sneaky:)

Also, that 'screen' that pops up after hitting 'start', closes down god-awful fast . . . before finished reading it !
Something like that should be left to player to dismiss .

Good point, I'll reevaluate the screen progression for the next release. My initial opinion was that this things are just annoying... But...

Hey everyone, thanks for the good wishes and pointing out what you like and dislike about the game so far. My first step for the next release will be to greatly improve the graphics. They got messed up during the optimization process and didn't see it on the smaller screen I was using for testing. That being said, the next thing I will need to do as the story progresses with different LIs is to add some sort of time system and some sort of progression system with regards to how they are being controlled. Don't want to repeat other's mistakes so wondering what you guys like and dislike about games that have a time progression and corruption meter to speak of. I don't mind reinventing the wheel but if I do I want to make sure it meets people's needs. Feel free to leave your opinions here and thank you in advance.

It's rumored (wink wink) that the far right just might be your teacher and, following the game's inspiration, the one next to her may just be a new student. Or she may appear later in the game, haven't decided. I was inspired but not committed. (y)

Yo party people—bad news: no release today. Good news: it’s actually good news.

Wrote the new scenes, made the new pics. Tried remastering the old ones, but they came out kinda “meh.” So I shrunk the game down like a cheap sweater (to 1374x736).

Then — plot twist — I stumbled on a better remastering method “after” finalizing everything. Classic. Hey, better late than never.

So now I’m redoing “everything” (again), but this time it’ll actually look good. Game’s back to glorious 1920x1080 HD, with a shiny new Free Roam section and a tutorial to help you not get lost. And since the heavy lifting is done, it’s just a matter of re-rendering and scene layouts. Trust me—it’s worth the wait.

Next up, animations!

Just a quick update to prove I’m still alive and still working on this thing! The next release is almost here—like, “peeking around the corner with coffee and anxiety” close.

It’s been a long, heroic slog through a swamp of bugs, feature creep, and existential dread, but we’re finally tying off loose ends and stamping out the last of the tiny fires (some of which were definitely not my fault).

While we don’t have an official release date yet—because calendars are a lie—I can promise it’s coming sooner rather than later. Unless time collapses. But let’s stay optimistic.

In the meantime, enjoy some eye-candy from the upcoming release. Yes, it looks that good on purpose.

In reference to the third (3rd) image above :
(You may have 'fixed' this by now, hopefully :whistle:)

That current layout, has left you only 2 ways into the Kitchen, one from the outside, and one from the garage !

There are no indicated accesses from, with-in the interior of the house to, enter/leave, the Kitchen . . .

Seems a bit unusual ? :oops:

Wouldn't you agree ? :unsure:

Perhaps there should be an access from the Living-room ?

Never really thought about it because you access everything from the compass icon. It brings up a floor plan of the house. At some point it will also point to the school and the bar.
There are no "hot spot" items in this game. I considered making the bed a hot spot to sleep but it occurs naturally after a number of events, and I liked having a slightly different UI (with speech bubbles, etc.) than u usually get in Renpy. Kinda goes with the whole comic book motif.

Doll Play RC-1 is live.
Formerly Dawl Play, now rebuilt from the ground up and juiced like it’s training for the Olympics. Early access for the chosen few (a.k.a. our supporters).

New: Free-Roam at the end of every chapter, over a dozen extra-hot Maxine scenes with real consequences, and every single image remastered or remade in glorious 1080p.

Bigger brain: 4× the framework, time/day cycles, instant navigation, stat screens, hints, remote control toys (yep), and a tutorial that doesn’t suck.

Play it. Break it. Tell us. We’ll fix it fast.
