optimisation is hard, especially when every engine needs to be able to do everything. It ends up doing a whole bunch of stuff you don’t want. I used to like Unity, just because everything seemed more opt-in, now you have to tear the hood open and strip the engine down to get a lightweight render-engine. At least that is how it feels.Could be an interesting game, and be enriched with more gameplay variety for a game show.
But brother/sister, focus on optimization. You don't need to care about anyone telling you, that your game looks abysmal. As along your art style is clear, things have unique details or you want to express something, as along your art has a direction; you don't care about the "graphics".
But man, really, i am tired of seeing games with abysmal optimization, terrible optimization that makes me want to close my pc and take a 2 hour walk and do 100 pushups in a day.
I don't care what engine you will pick but in the end, it is best to know the engine well. i hate both Unity and Unreal just because i see everyone, indies and AAA, making horrible optimizations that make the engines look terrible.
i can't play the game, when the obstacle course loads in, i don't know the controls and the FPS are on 1. Even when turning down all options.
Make options available to the players, show control input or a tutorial, like a simulation before the game show if you want to be immersive. Make the player being able to choose to disable those useless shadows if someone is desperate for FPS gain. Make sure the game is friendly to the player, the interface is friendly to the player
And make sure, you make good optimization. i don't understand how most modern games have terrible optimization; especially this game since it doesn't look demanding.
I do like the premise of it but if i can't play the game well and can't see the gameplay, i can't say it is good.

One of the great things about democratised game development is that we get silly fun games like this, the bad thing is that the art and the optimisation often is what it is… but I’d rather have some poorly optimised games that does something fun, than the polished shooter clones that used to be the norm
When did the error occur? And did you press continiu?Error for me
I have the same Error when I'm trying to launch the game. When did the error occur? And did you press continiu?
The error occurred when I try to enter the game, if I press continue, it does not openI have the same Error when I'm trying to launch the game.
When I press "continue", it keeps loading but do not launch the game.
I have made several improvements and the engine is going out of the beta phase next week (the 28't) hopefully that combined will improve things alot. I will poste the update then.(And jumping will be space)"X" key to jump in 2025? Thats a big no, also the imput lag is terrible, its impossible to jump propperly.
And here i tought i was skewing the line with my games.Phew...I thought at first glance this was the Angry Birds type game where you have to stomp on a pregnant woman and launch and guide the baby to the target. Yes it exists and no I don't have a link, it was a webm of the game on 4chan.
