What are your specs? While l know my PC is weak and it could play the game in previous version, right now the game freezes in the main menu. Not responding is the status.
After main menu loads in, maybe 5 seconds I can move cursor but after that it freezes
I want to know if can lower the graphics through a file
I did manage to play it and it plays good on lowest settings but it isn't reliable on the main menu and it may freeze. I don't know how to be sure of it being stable
my cpu is the weakest link, it seems it plays normally but it may freeze sometimes. I changed the settings quickly and can play without fps drops. But the game will randomly freeze, probably certain event happened and the game didn't know what to do. No crash but freezeWhat are your specs?
That may be so, but if you list your specs - I might be able to help you with a config file best suited for your current setup.my cpu is the weakest link, it seems it plays normally but it may freeze sometimes. Also, keep in mind - running at "Fullscreen Windowed" is not ideal - "Fullscreen" native is the better option since the game is exclusively focused by the GPU - by using Windowed - as a lot of users do, it's more intensive for the GPU and thus, causes FPS spikes.
Going to sound odd but are you certain the game is launching via your GPU and not the onboard graphics? If you're not sure - follow these steps -
- CPU: AMD A10-5800B APU with Radeon HD Graphics
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 580 2048SP

If you've met that, let me know and I'll send you a config file you can replace in the game folder for better performance.
- Open the AMD Radeon Settings program on your computer.
- Go to the "Gaming" tab.
- Select "Global Settings."
- Scroll down to the "Power Saving GPU" option and choose "High Performance."
- Click "Apply" to save the changes.

I have an ancient gaming laptop and was having a lot of issues as well, but your suggestion about "Fullscreen" definitely helped and made the game somewhat playable, thank you. That may be so, but if you list your specs - I might be able to help you with a config file best suited for your current setup.

Yeah it's a common thing that people still somehow do. I don't get it. When you focus fullscreen, it enables the GPU to focus primarily on whats being displayed. If the game is windowed, it still renders the OS behind the game on top of the power needed for the game itself, so it's essentially wasting resources lol.I have an ancient gaming laptop and was having a lot of issues as well, but your suggestion about "Fullscreen" definitely helped and made the game somewhat playable, thank you.
I think I was thinking it would show the bar on the bottom with the clock, to be able to keep track of the time while playing. In any case, it helped eliminate the annoying jerking around of the characters and scene, but now need to figure out why the things I'm picking up keep disappearing and can't complete tasks because of it. I'm currently trying to figure out how to do the laundry, lol.Yeah it's a common thing that people still somehow do. I don't get it. This sounds like it might be a PhysX issue. Are you running latest Nvidia drivers? If you're running an AMD system, ensure you're on the latest drivers. (also, resolution can play a role here - a lot of developers don't actually build for non-common resolutions - so if you're playing at say, 1024x768 (old by modern standards) it might run into issue with pick up and drop locations etc.)I think I was thinking it would show the bar on the bottom with the clock, to be able to keep track of the time while playing.
