Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics. Most players here are men and most games are intended for that audience.
It's like saying 50% of gamers are actually women, yes, but actually no if you break things by genre and specific examples.
I'm pretty sure the first sentence is true.
I don't understand the second sentence (I'm sure it's just me)

However I would guess there are a significant number of any gender that enjoy playing games (porn or otherwise) as a different gender. Although I have no evidence to back that up (just that I almost always do if I have a choice).

you'll see a female who plays adult games.
Congratulations! You are the 1%!
Your point still stands. The demographic is quite male, but that still doesn't support the OPs opinion.
My point is the answer to the OPs question is not that women also play porn games.
Sure they can play them, some games can also be specifically made for that audience like Otome Games or The Gays Games.

Why we have so many games with a female protagonist?
Because there is a market for it.(y)
Why do people want to be fucked by a random monster or a random guy?
Who says that people want to be fucked by a random monster or guy? o_O It is know as fantasy. ;) Maybe you do not know the difference between the two, but the vast majority of people do.;)
This is some kind of fetish because I don't get it, I think games being a male protagonist makes more sense.
Why are you kink shaming? Are you saying that you can relate to a horse size cock more? Are you saying that looking at a huge cock is the only thing that gets you hard?

When you watch porn with guys boinking the girl, you also think "Og, geez... I'd love to be in her place"?

So what is wrong with that? What is wrong with taking a big fat cock in your mouth and sucking on it until it erupts in your mouth? :)

Ya. Aside from female players, that's a fetish some guys have, and considering the number of games with that tag, it's a quite common fetish.

I don't get it
If I ask you "why do you feel aroused by girls" you probably won't know how to explain too. This kind of stuff is just somehow programmed in our brains.

Do I fantasize ? yes
When I fantasize do I sometimes make up things not reflected in reality ? yes

Sometimes I might be an irresistable well hung Don Juan with a neverending sexual stamina who cums by the bucketload
Sometimes I might be a terminator like mechanoid (and not necessarily the good one)
Sometimes I might be a dragon - or dragon-rider (take that as you will)
Sometimes I might be an alluring and mysterious femme fatale
All of which, I have to admit, are stretching the fabric of reality way past it's natural limits.
But isn't that what fantasy means ?

There are many things I'll never be in fantasy (some through prejudice, some a lack of imagination) I'm guessing from your (assumedly rhetorical) question that you are telling us some of the fantasies you prefer to exclude yourself from.

And bottom line is that I've never seen a porn game that isn't steeped in extreme fantasies.
So go with it or not there will always be someone who happily fantasises about things you find incomprehensible.

My point is that you don't need to necessary insert yourself into the protagonist playing fem prot games. Some probably are, but you can play them from a third-party perspective as well.
Like interactive porn where you set up situations for girls.

Fair point, deliberately become the minor character or antagonist
And at least partially restricted by my own lack of willingness to extend the fantasy in that direction

Although a lot of games do strongly encourage the player to associate primarily with the main protagonist through the use of personal pronouns (you enter the room). Especially with in game verbal communications (I can't do that).

If a game were to consistently treat the main character as a narrator that may allow much easier association with a number of protagonists/antagonists, I'm not sure I've seen a game do that though.

I know answering my own posts is going to come across as a touch egomaniacal but a further thought

In Dune, the redoubtable sci-fi fantasy by Frank Herbert, the early plot (first three books I think) is actually told from the point of view of Princess Irulan who is a learned chronicler amongst other things.

A game which did play through a narrator would have to ask third party questions:
Paul runs down the alley, there are two exits, does Paul go [to the Left] or [to the Right]
Chani is affronted by the freman's actions, does Chani [Ignore him] or [Stab him (with her crys-knife obviously)]

This would mean a player would be controlling a number of individuals and controlling their character development. Hate to think how much work would be needed to design the game though.

This is a question (the OP's) that always puzzles me: you don't have to play those games. You don't have to play them at all. There's at least some merit to asking why there aren't MORE porn games with male protagonists out there, even if it would be a little silly to, since most games that have been developed and are still under development have male protagonists. I think what we're seeing now is more developers who want female protagonists and more people who want to support them. That's great. At least some of those people wouldn't make a game with a male protagonist in the first place, so this probably means more people want to make games. More games, in my opinion, is generally good.

If you want something else, support the devs who are making things closer to what you like. Tell them they're doing a good job, financially support them if you like, maybe even start making such a game if you have the interest and skill and think there's a market for what you'd make. But don't come crying to people who like different stuff that everybody should be making games for you and only you specifically. Other people have their own needs. You are not the center of the universe.

And just for good measure, this goes for the people who like female protagonists too. No, not everybody needs to make a game with a female protagonist now. Some people are, and I'm happy for you for that, but I'm never going to tell somebody that they need to stop making a game with a male protagonist and make the protagonist female just because some people don't want to play a game with a male protagonist. I like playing porn games that star dudes. That's my preference. And as long as there are people out there making games you like, telling people to stop making games I like so they can cater only to you instead just makes you an asshole.

Couldn't this be said the other way?
Either way, you're watching a guy and girl have sex.
