Zombie apocalypse is a common setting for both porn and non-porn stories. I don't see why zombie porn has to come with the assumption that zombies would be raping people. It could, but it doesn't have to.

If you really think about it, zombie rapes would get rather boring in a male MC game if the entire concept of the story was based around it. Zombies make terrible NTR antagonists because they are brainless. It can be used for some bad ends or occasional scenes that depict heroine rape, but not NTR. The zombies are naturally used as backdrop because that's what they are. They present the sense of danger and break down of social order. Anyways, Deadmoon Survival is one that has optional zombie rapes that doesn't end in bad ends or breaking of characters.

For female MC games that are basically "get raped" simulators, it could make sense to make the whole thing about that.

It's incredibly boring to have Zombies only serve as the backdrop of a Porn game and do nothing else, I see these Zombie survival games here, but on more that one occasion the Zombies themselves are just there to be an annoying obstacle.

I'm so tired of these games where your objective is to just fuck the women around you while living in a safehouse somewhere during some kind of apocalyptic event ... While there are plenty of Zombies, mutants, demons, tentacle plants, tentacle monsters or whatever outside that could be doing the fucking!
Involving a Taboo can improve the game a somewhat e.g. Incest, Shota, loli or whatever... but it can only go so far if the game is set in a horrific survival backdrop but not have it play a masive part in the sexual content.

Hell I hate the frequency of these games where the objective is: Seduce and fuck the women around you and you're all just a bunch of regular people, just some guy and some beautiful women around you, no matter how attractive they're designed.
If I wanted to see a normal adult human fuck another normal adult human I'd just watch regular porn.

Alot of porn games suffer from this. Most of the time the background has little to do with the adult content, and this is significantly worse if the game in question is a visual novel. I understand throwaway background for an actual game, but if all you have to offer is a story you better write one.

Honestly I feel if you are going to say in the story that if the zombies have sex with a woman, said woman basically becomes their willing breeding slave or whatever and the not use that story aspect what's the point of having that as part of the story? This is a pretty bad take imo. A zombie game doesn't need zombie rape, in fact it more or less limits a game pretty significantly. In reality, I think the zombie genre works fantastic with adult games, with or without zombie rape. We already see this with several zombie games already that are really popular.

I'm for the most part on board with OP here. While I think devs should get pretty much free reign to design a game, it's a surprising call at the very least to have hot ladies in a zombie apocalypse not under any risk of getting pounded by zombie dick. They're right there! Why not do the thing that makes a porno zombie apocalypse different from any other type of porno apocalypse?

I don't think it should be mandatory if there's a weirdo porn game dev who draws the line in a zombie apocalypse indie porn game against including zombie rape, but it's certainly strange to me for that to be the norm.

Using a zombie apocalypse isn't a lack of creativity, it is just a setting. What's done with it shows creativity. Btw even if instead of zombies it was mindless hyper sexual beasts it will still fall under the umbrella term "zombie apocalypse" like how The Last of Us does.

I think the OP came across as aggressive, but let me see if I can explain what he means properly. If you are going to use a zombie apocalypse setting with NORMAL zombies then there should be no expectation of zombie rape. However if you specifically either during the game or in your game description say that the zombies are sex hungry or rape women who then become zombie cum sluts or whatever then I think being a little annoyed when that aspect isn't used except for exposition is justified. Don't mention the zombies raping women if you aren't going to use that as a threat for your characters as I am sure most people would expect zombie rape if you say the zombies rape women.
