Your welcome, I try to make sure that the people who create games that allow me to feel a connection with their Characters, people who create something enjoyable, or hell even just people I can respect because of a solid work ethic I feel the need to just let them know they are doing good. (I'm usually a Lurker who tries never to see the light of day.... But sometimes things are worth popping your head out of the shadows for.).

The 2 Characters I can't get into are
The wife, and the trainer. The issue is just personal preference.

One of them (The trainer) Is written more like how I would see a friend, someone that I could spend time with joke around with, and maybe even go check other girls out with. From what you have so far, she seems like a great person.... Just doesn't hit the relationship feeling with me. (Maybe a fuck buddy, but will have to see how she develops.).

The wife. It's partly her model I'm not a fan of the huge tits models. But it's also partly how it feels she's trying to force the player into doing what SHE wants. (Which is fine, I think a game that can bring the player into WANTING his time in game to revolve around a Character is awesome. Shows the character is well written. (I STILL love Tali'Zora Vas Normandy.). But the other thing was the jumping straight into the your married, there was no flashbacks explaining how you fell in love, why you fell in love, what you 2 have done together.

The other Characters your getting to know, and your creating something right then and there so there is no needto explain the past. But with me, if I need to care about someone, I want to know WHY I should care about her.From playing through the current version like 70 times.... It's obvious SHE cares about the MC, and wants the marriage to succeed but without the emotional attachment I'm like black choice, black choice, black choice.....YAY now I can focus on the girls I Like.

Then for context I'll tell you about the ones I do like.
The maid - I started liking her because she's latin, I love me some latin girls. Next she's a badass hard worker, and LOVES her family. (Coming from someone who didn't have parents who loved me.... That's important to me.). Plus she's flirty, loves dancing, and she has the integrity to reward someone for taking care of her.

The boss - Hottie..... Plus her strong personality, with a submissive core waiting for you to take control and dominate the hell out of her.... Yes please..... MORE of her. ))))

Cassie - ****ing Adorable (Didn't want to offend with vulgarity.), plus she's seriously crushing on the MC, she respects the hell out of the MC, and she seems to value him more than anyone else in her life. (I need that kind of devotion sometimes, even if it's in a game.).

Amanda - Cassies level of Adorable multiplied by a factor of 10...... Nerdy, insecure, needy but shy about it, lost in a big world... I just want to hold her, protect her, love her, then kill the hell out of anyone that wants to take her from me. MINE

Jane - Hot. As. Hell..... Corrupt but smart enough to know you don't need people to be like you to stay friends with them. NEEDS a daddy figure that respects her. Fun, dangerous, gets what she wants regardless of consequences, but unwilling to hurt her friends, even as she gets the D that she wants. (BTW I loved the second session with her, when your in the office.... Went bad route for the first interaction, then good route for the second. And I laughed my ass off as she basically rapes the MC.).

Amanda is my favorite, she feels like Tali from Mass Effect in ways. Jane is a close second. Cassie is third. Then the boss and maid are tied for Fourth.

Sorry for the long reply, but I wanted to give you as accurate info as possible.

No apologies at all. I love the character analysis. As the guy who created the characters, I have a very specific view of these girls. But everyone is going to interpret characters differently. So it's fascinating to me to learn what others see in them. What concepts jive with mine, or possibly (as you'll see below) what angles or ideas I might have overlooked.

Amanda is my favorite, she feels like Tali from Mass Effect​

I had never really made that connection. But I fucking LOVED Tali. I mean...I'm in love with Tali. I don't care what she looked like under that suit or what other space tail came my way. I'd give it all up for Tali. What a fucking sweetheart.​

We wanted Jane to move in two ways, "Good girl breaking bad", "Bad girl breaking good". And then just leave it up to the player to decide which way she's travelling. She's known Cassie and Amanda since grade school. So even with her newfound rebellion, she's smart enough not to shit on the girls who've stood by her all these years. And she loves and respects them enough not to try and drag them down the road with her. Cassie and Amanda are probably the only reason she hasn't gone completely over the edge by the story start. Thought he MC could help push her down the well...if you so choose.​

Nerdy, insecure, needy and shy. Not ignorant, but knowledgeable of what she's lacking and not sure how to compensate. Yeah, that's how I see her too. I love that girl.

We wanted to take a different angle on an old theme. That of....people...living close...in a house...together...not...incest. In many of the games I've played, it's either the MC manipulating events to make things happen, or it's the two characters coming to the realization together that they want it to happen. I wanted a different approach, where it's the younger person drawing the older person into their fantasy. In time, the story will delve into why she's so tied up and fascinated by it, but for now, it's enough to know that she's dropping hints any way she can think of.

Like the Jane, the idea behind Lupita is that she's a duality that is heavily influenced by the player. She can either become the lonely single mom looking for someone to love her and her family, or she can be the silent temptress who's going to do whatever she needs to make sure her family is cared for. I like sweetheart Lupita personally.​

This I found incredibly insightful. When writing Emily, I have the backstory between her and Roger in my head, and it makes perfect sense where they're at in their relationship and why. But it's never occurred to me until your post that there really hasn't been any "reason" for the player to care about their relationship other than, "she's your wife" in the game.

I'm working on additional features and enhancements for the game. One of those are actual "therapy sessions" where you have the option to take a break from the story and discuss the events that have occurred with the doctor. It's really a chance to get inside the character's head and dig deeper into why he's doing what he's doing and for him to get "help". I've been reading several books on Social Psychology so that when I start writing those it sounds legit.

But anyway, thanks to your post, I think I'm going to use that opportunity to strengthen the story of "Roger and Emily" so that those players who want a reason to care, can obtain one. Excellent insight. Thank you for that!

So another thing I'm working on is changing the "kill switch" option to a "friend-zone" option. When starting the story it never occurred to me that people might like the characters and not want to fuck them. So we're instituting a third path where you can play through the story, help them with their problems, but omit all the sexual stuff if you have a high enough "friend-zone" trait with the character. Nice thing is it won't require any real rewrites or additional scenes, we'll just cut short when the sex starts and move on.

And of course players who have zero interest in a character will still have that option of avoiding them entirely. So look for those options coming in future updates.

Great game, enjoyng story and dialogs.
Little of my thoughts on the characters and paths that i liked the most (that doesn't mean another one is bad):

1. Cassie - so far my favorite, good looking model and her connection with mc, prefer love path (her more innocent aprouch i think)
2. Jane - second place, "real" path have more deep and interesting dialogs rather then just her bad girl show off
3. Nanami - here both pretty interesting to see how they would develop, but i think i choose her submissive (just scary how far she can go in dominant path )
4. Lupita - well she made, and in my opinion interesting to see seductive side off her, stuff she can do for money
5. Amanda - well she sweet girl, prefer crush path i think, but problem that she look like she didnt finish her puberty period, teaching her how to kiss and give father advices one thing but ehh..
6. Emily - her model looks okay for my taste, problem that so far very little information about her and only one interraction (although if you think she's a wife and lives with us, yet we didnt seen her since first encounter). Something tells me that she will be pushing in many ways towards cheating on mc (i hope there will be enough "love" path content too).
7. Monica - last one, least favorite model, maybe will be good make like have said "friend path", otherwise not interested.

And will be good to now, if u enable all kinks will there be a way in game avoid this things by player choices? Just think its better then just cut piece of story/game like its not there.

LOL if someone says (Hey don't DO or SAY that) Is where I see that they censor men, then I tend to go and find all kinds of buttons to push to annoy said person. ))) But when people I respect from my past have said you don't NEED to go full blown asshat just for the S&G's, if your polite up front the turn around is usually worth self censoring. )))

So now that I'm no longer an anger 20 year old, I'm trying things the polite way. )))

I'm really glad to know that my views helped you out, I had a pretty unique childhood that lead to a LOT of time spent analyzing myself and my own mental state, which helped me to be able to see things in others, or create connections between other characters and people.

Then when I was in the Army I had a couple chances to sit down with Therapists myself and talk about my childhood and other key triggers in my life, and some of them helped to bring me back from the edge of a cliff like how Jane is in the story, I was just a LOT angrier than she seems to be. ))) So it's actually fun to see your characters because they have depth to their character.

Yeah I'm with you on Tali, I have a collectors model of her hanging on my wall next to default male shepard.... For me the originally 3 Mass effects we're the pinnacle of how characters in games should be done. I agree, who cares what she looked like, it was ALL personality with her.

I don't have a lot of people I talk to in RL due to the vast difference in experiences between me and the people of the town I live in. (Their rednecks who barely travel outside their COUNTY.... I've been to 17 countries, fought in 2 wars.... Made friends all over the world.) So when I get to feeling the need for a friend, I pop in mass effect 3 and go to the DLC with the party at Shepards home. That is the kind of emotional resonance that I feel your game is creating with your characters, people that even though the interactions are locked in, they still make you FEEL something after the first time playing.

The funny thing with Jane when I did the first play through it was the save her play through because I WANT to help her. I mean I've been in that position with people telling you, what you need to do, what you need to focus on, what you need to study, blah blah blah. And with my personality I really just want to save her. LOL But there is also the whole let's fuck until Armageddon, and she'll make it fun the entire time. My personal wish for her would be a midline kind of ending where you help her reach independence and a secure mental state, but also a freak in bed. )))

Yeah I didn't think of Amanada as ignorant, more so deep in her bubble and with so few trusted people she never found a way to break out and be who she WANTs to be.

I remember the first version I played prior to Patreon being stupid and I thought Cassie was awesome... But with the re-writes, I think she's even better. For me it isn't the physical relationship that's important but the mental one. So even with her being your neighbors daughter. ))) I love her to pieces, and after going full good and full bad options I actually kind of enjoyed the good Cassie more than the bad one, yeah bad is sexier.... But you can see how she cares for the MC more in the good route. At least in my own personal opinion.

My internet is crap at this time of the day, so I'll check out the link when I'm on break at work tonight. (Love night shift.) But I'd never actually seen the movie Payback, so it'll be interesting to see what she's about. I can agree that a strong Character that doesn't get broken is a lot of fun, and I look forward to how her personality continues to grow.

With Lupita her Sweetheart route tugs at the heart strings. I can see her seductress side on the bad route, and I dig it a LOT. I can't tell which I like more at the moment, so I'll be waiting to see how she grows.

I am REALLY happy that my feedback on Emily was helpful. Part of the thing with her, with the relationship being already where it is (Marriage) I can see her being pushy to keep things from falling apart. And I like games that bring in the element of lets make the game have different Characters orbiting the main character, and allow the player to decide who's orbit the main character wants to get involved in.

I use orbit because of how I do Character creation in stories or games I work on. I take a white board andput Characters into groups based on who they are, and how their personalities are, then who they are already associated with. So it starts with the Main Character being the sun with everyone orbiting him, then as the player goes through the games, their choices will bring the oribitng players closer, or push them farther from him. Which can bring the NPC into contact with other NPC's orout of contact with certain NPC's. Then as the player finds a Character they prefer, give them the option to orbit her instead of him being static. So she willask for things, send him on tasks., things like that. So you can see how the Character growsout of their original place.

I'm really interested to see how the Therapy sessions happen, and how you bring them to life.

And that makes me happy to hear about the friendzone. ))) Which is kind of amusing that a guy would be about about hitting the friendzone LOL..... But sometimes it really is more fun to go to the mall with a girl and check out girls, or just hang out and have her tease you about the people who react to you. (At work there is a female friend who I talk to about girls I think are cute and what not, and that is the kind of friendship we have where we gripe about work, and I joke about the girls coming in and out, and she jokes about stupid people. It's a lot of fun surprisingly LOL.

When I was a senior in high school I was sent to a business retreat that a college was hosting that was pretty far from home, and while I was there they put on a lot of seminars and talks with business leaders at the time. One of them talked about how as leaders we can either try to suppress other peoples knowledge so we look like the only competent one, or we can try and help the others around us so the entire group looks better together. That is the way I try to be, helping others to get better.
