Didn't they say that they will release it as is around march? With partial VO if that won't be finished by then (probably not). Or did I dream it all up?

Dev ran out of money and has no job so he's surviving solely on patreon while finding a job. From what i've asked around, he can't pay the VA's for the rest of the voicelines.
I hope he gets a job and can finish this game cause it's pretty good tbh

His war against piracy of the game, and a lack of advertising (I literally never saw it before finding it here) seem to be a bit of a downfall.
I don't know the details, but wouldn't it be better to simply cut losses and release it as is without a full VO coverage and finish it, for example, later after the sales profit comes in? To see if it is even worth it to finish at all?

At this point it would be better, have a full game that people will actually spend money on, then take that profit to finish the VO with patches later. They could do that and nobody will be upset about it.
Dev was keeping very hush hush about the Voice actress.
Frankly I think the dev should just call it the "edging" release.
Say something like "the game is 90% finished with some undone Voice over work at the end. When we have the money we will add in the voice lines. Sorry everyone but we can't continue working on the game at full speed like this with no money".
