It's oozing quality, 100% "Hades" inspired art work. The only problem with the splashes is that there's no actual gameplay shown. Sooo... off I go to test it out. (hmm.. only 231 meg file. Uh-oh).

Impressions:

1) No option button, anywhere. Nichte gut.
1.1) It's a demo, nothing more - six (6) small scenes, they're all about 2-4 mins long (longer if you listen rather than read).
1.2) I've no idea if the main game is a VN or has game-play, the demo doesn't help.
2) It appears to be 100% fully voiced. Which, coupled with the art, is kinda amazing. The VA work is a bit cliched / tropey but it's pretty good quality.

So, this is a VN demo/trailer for a game which is a Vampire Survivors clone with ATROCIOUS ART WORK. I kid you not:

The VN promo is amazing... the actual game? Well, look above. The actual game is designed via LSD and paint:

Oh, and the Steam price-point is $35. If you want to buy just the VN without the game above... the price point, fully voiced is $39. You're literally paying more to not have the game above attached. But wait! You can buy the Steam game + the voice pack for $45. So... the game is worth $5, apparently.

Oh, and... it's not actually a VN. It's an audio book with 25-30ish illustrations:

• 25+ XXX illustrations
• 130k+ words of plot rich story
• (Optional) 18+ hours of full voiceover audio, including character dialogue and narration

18 hrs of VA work to 25 illustrations is... well. It's not really a VN, is it, really? It's a book with 1 illustration per chapter.

It's sad but not surprising that this is a shameless cash grab. I remember stumbling upon this guy's art, finding it amazing and looking into his Patreon, and it turned out to be a massive ripoff that didn't give you access to any of his actual work - you still had to buy those at absurd individual prices...

So yeah, Hotcha is a great artist, but a greedy piece of work.

The Devs explicitly marketed it on Steam as 'Hades like', it shares all the same tags and is linked in the "games like you've played" directly. i.e. if you own or have played Hades, loading up the Drake's Dungeon storepage will tease it.

This means the Steam algo is set to push the game to accounts with large playtimes / algos that match that own Hades. That's how tags / the algo works, ffs.

Also, yes, it is an artstyle. She's been doing it for 20+ years, and is well known in the biz.

This was blatantly a NSFW LGBT+ Hades rip-off, and there's nothing wrong with that, but they managed to 'employ' some Discord muppet from the UK whose claims to be able to code turned out to be... well. You've seen the screenshots.

Anyhow, it's really not my sexual thing, but I'd strongly suggest getting the .PDF / VA version and not the Steam game, since that's where the quality and smut are. But it's woefully under-cooked for the asking price & $21k CA buy in it already took (~$900 / scene, not a bad rate).
