No, my fault, I thought that we were on the Welsh comedian thread.

I'm not really sure, there's few things bothering me here.

Firstly, in July 2021 they arrested him and seized number of devices. They haven't done this without having suspicions, that have been soon confirmed since I doubt that it took long to find the first ones of the 19,120 p*d*shit pictures. And they let him free until the trial in August 2023? No preventive detention to not increase the number of victims?

Secondly, well, in July 2021 they seized number of devices. He used Ren'Py, so downloading the game from here is enough to retrieve the source, and he used Illusion's Studio for the CGs, what is less a problem than if he used Daz Studio. But still, he lost everything and would have had to recreate a big part from scratch in order to continue his game. This would have been felt in the game.

Thirdly, his last post really do not looks like someone who know that he'll pass a really long time in jail. Anyone expect to be lucky, but it would be stupid to expect that you'll walk out free after pleading guilty for 42 or the 53 charges against you; especially this kind of charges.
Of course, he wouldn't say, "hey, hmm, you'll pass the following decade, perhaps more, in jail, so I'll not be able to works on the game", but neither would he bullshit about him continuing it. With the charges, it's obvious that he wouldn't be able to continue the game, not to collect the pledges.

I can't affirm it, but it really looks like someone wanted to shit on the quitting dev, and finding that news, used it for this purpose.

People who want to dispute it can play devil's advocate in the game topic, but they should warn me first so I can prepare popcorn.

Adult games players are annoying as fuck, it don't worth discussing seriously with them. Worse, some would get hope that the dev will return and mods would frown at me.

Oh please, anyone who's spent more than two and a half minutes on this forum and paid attention would have known what would happen with this post. Dude comes in like my crazy aunt wanting to dish on people while sipping margaritas...on this forum? Everyone with two and a half brain cells would have seen the reaction it would get.

• There's that dev who have had his identity stolen, have been raided by cops due to what the thief did, and have his computer seized, and still investigated, since now something like 2 years;
• There's that dev who gave up on his game after a tragedy happened in his family;
• There's that dev for who we don't know if he's still alive because he stopped giving sign of life after the Hurricane that ravaged Puerto Rico (where he live) some years ago;
• There's that modder for who we are in the same situation, this time after a series of serious tornado in Texas;
• There's that troll who more than surely died due to Covid-19;
• There's that dev (RIP) who died, due to Covid-19 too, few months after having his life changed for the better with the transplant that solved his long illness;
• There's that dev who, him too, had a long illness and ceased to give sign of live;
• There's that dev who was kicked out of his job because someone outed that he works on an adult game and, while he never ever did it at works, nor talked about it, "it's a family place and what you do on your free time isn't family friendly";
• There's that dev that have been kicked out by his girlfriend, few times after moving in to live with her, because she suddenly understood that "in order to earn a bit more of that money I spend for us, I make an adult game that include sex during my free time" mean that, in order to earn a bit more of that money he spend on them, he make an adult game that include sex during his free time.

When I said Drama, I meant stuff like "A Dev lied to their fanbase" or "Dev lashes out at their fanbase"

Not, "Dev has Identity stolen" or "Dev gives up game after family tragedy." That's not drama. That's just an unfortunate turn of events.
