I believe, there's a choice that can lock up your progress. make thing clear hint is basically a dead end. restart your game.
From what I know
there is only one choice that will lock you out from Emma
and that is when if lie to her about having had a girlfriend, if you say you didn't, you are locked from Emma's progress
you have to say you've had a girlfriend, and after some time, she'll apologise about how she reacted and wants to carry on.

Yep same here. Other girls' hints say to complete Lin story, but there's no hint for Lin. Scheduled the practice, but there's nothing to do in town. ???

unfortunately, unless someone makes a mod to remove it, there's no way to remove in-game
other that using "H" to hide it and everything else temporarily

In that case, check the others, see if there are any hints left to do
I did the same and other than getting stuck with Megan and her likely torture for a time, I was eventually able to finish, when I concentrated on Emma, which opened up a new thing with Megan.
it could also mean you need to increase your heart stats, as well as maybe the affection stats for the others.
you might also want to check the store to see if you need to buy something
and given it's to do with Lin, you ight have to increase your guitar skills

Yeah none of those things work. My guitar skill seems to be maxed at 50. Nothing to buy. All the hints say to finish someone else (charlize or lin), and I had the phone call with Avril saying I'll pick her up in the morning, but that was weeks ago. There was nowhere for me to go in town the next day (or anyway after). Thanks anyway
I had the same issue, so I decompiled the game scripts with unrpa. The culprit is basically a badly-coded if block which checks which event to start with Avril (see screenshot). If you've already done the first date event with Megan and the Avril home date (cunnilingus) you've basically locked yourself out of the first practice event. What worked for me (although I'm not yet sure if it will break Megan's events) was using the console to set megan_first_date, avril_licking_pussy, and meet_at_avril_at_home_phone to False, and set first_practice_phone_called to True (which it should already be). After that you can meet Avril in the morning to see the first practice scene - and hopefully progress with Lin's story.
UPDATE: After doing the first practice event, reset megan_first_date to True (otherwise Avril's hint is stuck to "Make thing clear with Megan before other thing"). You then repeat the date event with Gwen, and the cunnilingus event with Avril and proceed normally with the band's second practice.

UPDATE: There is a soft-lock progression bug if you complete Megan's story before Lin's. You have to go far enough into Avril's and Lin's story before going on Megan's date, or you are locked out of Avril and Lin. Seems like on dev's patreon others have reported this bug as well, so hopefully this will be fixed in next update.

I waited impatiently updating this game.... But the disappointment was great. Initially I really liked the AI graphics since it really made the characters look a lot like the real ones (at least as much as possible). Now when the scenes start, the graphics change for the worse: the characters suddenly become asian, they seem to have been created suddenly from Honey Select or taken from those parody porn series 
, where the characters look a bit like the real ones. There's a fantastic scene in the MC's rooms with Emma, where in the background a poster suddenly becomes Emma moving , like the paintings on the stairs at Hogwarts, not to mention all those artifacts where you have 3 hands or 6 fingers. The only thing that needed to be improved from the start was the navigation UI, which is bad . You select to go back to the room and the background of the scene remains on the hallway for example, but the room icons come out.... Too bad it was a good game

Yes, it is the simple solution. I also always hate to see the background in text dialogue, so I created two simple files that I use in every game. The first "_TranspTextBox.rpy" you put it in the "game" folder and it does not generate the background, plus since very often the background contrasts with the text to make it read well, it puts the text part in white with a black outline to increase readability. The second file I propose contains a different solution. Almost all games have the background of the dialog text part, defined in the "gui" folder by the "textbox.png" file. The solution is to create a transparent image that replaces the one in the game. In 99% of cases I always use the "_TranspTextBox.rpy" file that I always copy in every game; where it doesn't work (because they defined the background of the text part differently), I use the "texture.png" file that I copy into the gui folder. Just unzip the .rar file you are most interested in in the game folder and you're done
