I'm not a fan of Louise. Mainly because of her lie. I hope that we get a chance to drop her and pick up with one of the other girls, even if we refused them prior.
Yeah... Can we just have the MC break up with Louise and not be a cheater or an asshole because of the breakup? I mean, the guy needs some time to process the death of his daughter and the subsequent failure of his relationship yet the player has a binary choice of either the MC sits at home and waits for his wife to come grace him with her presence or he is an asshole who cheats on her.
The fact that she's decided that the opportunity that Sebastian represents is more important than her husband (who
nearly died and most likely is suffering from PTSD, at minimum) tells us plenty about how selfish she is... It approaches narcissistic levels of self absorption.
Where's the third route of starting a new life because "I'm a mess because my daughter just died, I barely survived, and my wife would rather have meetings all day with an asshole than be with me"?
I have no idea how an artist is in meetings that long, all day, 5 days a week. It's odd that she seems to be the major money maker for the family but is also not a widely known artist. When does she actually paint anything?
So you're saying we have to be the bad guy if we want to break up with a woman that lies?
Seems like that's the choice we are given. If you are a nice guy then you sit at home and wait for her. If you aren't a nice guy you cheat on her and then get upset over the fact that Sebastian kissed her and MC dumps her then and there.
You're right about one thing. On the supportive path,
The lie and her spending zero time with her husband are why I don't like her. It is suspicious how much time she spends away from the house in the company of Sebastian.
I have a hard time arguing with that given my own past relationships...but sometimes they can be neccessary (example lying about where are/were in order to get say a special anniversary present etc). But where does that rabbit hole go for some people? Not saying anything at all sometimes....an ommision can just as bad as a lie. Ultimately, you start going down that road, you show you never trust someone...or can't trust anyone.
A present or surprise party are a white lie, going to meet someone behind your significant other's back, dressing up like it is a date, trying to be provocative... That is not in the same magnitude. Add in the fact that she essentially turns her back on her husband right when he needs her the most and it feels like she could be cheating from the MC's perspective. The player can see her thoughts but the MC doesn't have that luxury.
