MC loves watching other peoples fuck, draw your own conclusions from that.Still no Future tags dev? Any cuck shit in the plot?
you know who else felt free to create whatever? ubisoft, sony, bioware, firewalk studios and so on.I think devs should be free to create whatever they want to. Once you start bending to the whims of whiners, your artistic well drys up. That's why you get so many abandoned products.
You have to be out of your mind if you think AAA studios make bad games because they followed their inspiration and passion instead of trying to make a cheap buck and getting caughtyou know who else felt free to create whatever? ubisoft, sony, bioware, firewalk studios and so on.
you either do what most gamers want or you end up either with a market price from 90 to 9 or out of bussiness.
google is your friend. just look for concord-firewalk studios, assassins creed shadows-ubisoft and dragon age veilgard-bioware.You have to be out of your mind if you think AAA studios make bad games because they followed their inspiration and passion instead of trying to make a cheap buck and getting caught
Concord released straight up unfinished. It's so clear that after the Sony acquisition that the studio got rushed to push it out when large chunks of assets and story weren't done. There were also huge problems with monetization compared to the rest of the character shooter market. As dogshit as Overwatch is, it at least doesn't cost $40 up front for a half-done product. This isn't a case of designers butting heads with the fanbase, it's Sony rushing a product to make quarterly earnings targets, literally what I'm talking about.google is your friend. just look for concord-firewalk studios, assassins creed shadows-ubisoft and dragon age veilgard-bioware.
see what the "Inspiration and passion" did for them.
those who go for a quick buck face the consequenses by the player base so there really is nothing to dissagree with you there.
but devs who listen to critisism ( by the majority) have the opportunity to save their games. some have, some stick to the agendas/minorities and go the way of the concord and dustborn.
the good thing is that we now have actuall resullts of the "advise", "dev dont listen to anyone and do your thing"..

I've not played DA Veilguard (understandable I think as it's been out for less than a week), but my understanding after the Google search you've advised is that reception is mixed? It's bombing on Metacritic at 2.6/10, but reviews on Steam are Mostly Positive? Even if it is charting poorly, where's the evidence that this is because of devs not listening to player feedback?
Look, I'm not trying to say devs should entirely ignore their playerbase. Obviously you have to be accepting of criticism to some extent, like how No Man's Sky got way better when it incorporated basically everything people wanted over the next several years post-release. But when big titles flop, it's much more often because things are mismanaged behind the scenes, usually cause of some greedy exec.
On the other hand, The Last of Us 2 got review bombed insanely hard because devs wrote a story that pissed people off, and it's also one of the best selling PS4 games of all time. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting on Beyond Good and Evil 2, Ubisoft.
I am all for creativity, as much as you seem to be. and we agree about devs not ignoring their player base. my point in all this is that if AAA games that tried to cater to the few morons who dont even play games, fail, imagine what can happen to a solo ( most times) developer of a porn game.Look, I'm not trying to say devs should entirely ignore their playerbase.
