Why is there this weird aura around the characters? Looks almost like they've been cut out of images.

I tried to create “inn lighting” with this aura, so that it would feel more like the characters were indoors rather than just pictures in the background. I need to work on that some more

i think you shoud make 8 types of body 1 fat,2 slim,4 muscle,5fit,6chuby,

I wanted to test the very idea in this demo, so I'll add more body varieties in future updates

Interesting start of the game, now the inn has a name, nice introduktion.
What would I expect?
slightly more illustrations, the other characters at least hinted at (the son, the squire, the drinkers)

I'll be adding more illustrations gradually so that I don't go out of my update budget. That's the main reason why I didn't add Victoria's son, the squire or those drunkards. Of course, if more people subscribe to our patreon, we can increase the number of characters and art in the updates.

From a perspective of someone who knows jackshit about art or anything similar to it, it kinda looks too bright maybe?
Like with my original comment, it seems like the characters are cut out of images that had them depicted outside but with poorly cropped edges (mostly the first preview where this is noticeable).

Thanks, I wanted to check out the very idea, but I already have basic notes about the whole game world, so I will gradually expand the updates.

How the heck is this a demo? This is no demo as there is not enough here to even know what the game play is going to be or what it's like. No damn clue at all what the game is going to be this is nothing but a proof of concept for art and sound. No damn clue what this is even suppose to be.
