Ain't nobody lashing out at anybody. It's called criticism. That's something that everybody in their life is gonna have to deal with. Whether it's at your job by your boss, or an artist that creates things. This is a thread about discussing the game, criticism included. I don't know about you, but every complaint in the thread so far seems reasonable to me. Same goes for all the praise the game gets too. I think you should follow your own advice about not "crying, and acting up", and not reply to every person that has a gripe with this game.
Nothing wrong with critics. But there is critics and there is like jump onto a bandwagon of sjw's and pile on top of whatever doesn't tickle your fancy.
Lets do a couple bulletpoints.
- Slow story progression.
Many feel things doesn't progress fast enough. Gumpdrops patreon says he creating an "adult fiction visual novel". When you read a novel/book in real life, do you skip to the last chapter because you grow impatient with how things unfold?
Can apply to other things as well, watching a movie with a slow segment, do you fast foward?
- Slow "actual" progression with the game. guy is milking us!!
I don't know gumdrop, what he does in real life or his real life situation. Does any of you? On his patreon it says
"Full-time investment into development is truly a pivotal point for this project. As of now, I've been dividing the month between my work and development, giving me blurry comprehension in when I can exactly complete an installment. If this becomes my work, crystal clarity along with faster delivery will be achievable."
Remember, what a content creator get from pledges on Patreon does in no way or form mean that person have to stop his/er real life job and take it up full time. Would you bet your future on your hobby making adult games and income through Patreon? I for sure wouldnt. Just look at those that bet their future on Youtube partnership for income and the fallout from the adpocalypse there.
Also the patreon system is based on support content creators. Look at all the stuff on Patreon, this can be a wide range of things and by supporting the creator you do not become entitled to GET STUFF. Any of you watch wreckless eating on Youtube? I'm a patreon, but I can in no way or form demand they start to eat shit, because I support them.
- Stupid puzzle/minigame, give us the money shoot already
Yeah I don't really see the purpose of this, but its his choice. I could be vocal about it and complain but it wouldn't do any good. Then I realize I spent time on the silly thing...
End of the day, opinions is like assholes, we all got them, they all smell (and yeah mine included). Constructive criticism is all good. Discussion and debate all good. Sometimes we just have to accept things the way they are and we can't really influence them all that much. But if you want to put forward your views to be actual heard (or ignored), then gumdrops contact information is on his patreon.
