That's all well and good, but it's a adult game at the end of the day, if I wanted a non-stop drag read-fest with incest I'd just read Vladmir Nabokov and save myself the months upon months of wait for as of now, we have... hand holding, spying on her in the shower, and sunscreen applying for 9 plus months work.
Definition of adult cover more than just sex (porn) etc though. If you check Steam, there is games classified as adult ones there too with nudity and sexual content, without exactly what you would want from "adult". Example @

Anyone got any count of how many renders in total in this game so far? In the previous version at the aunts place, I did all the different choices I could, and unless you spesific do that, there is scenes you wont experience. The total content in a release is more than just what we see based on our prefered choices.

Its similar with a lot of these "adult" games right? People start complain about slow progress, consume the new content fast and want more right away. If you put things into perspective, look at something like Star Citizen, the biggest cocktease and "milking" in history.

Ain't nobody lashing out at anybody. It's called criticism. That's something that everybody in their life is gonna have to deal with. Whether it's at your job by your boss, or an artist that creates things. This is a thread about discussing the game, criticism included. I don't know about you, but every complaint in the thread so far seems reasonable to me. Same goes for all the praise the game gets too. I think you should follow your own advice about not "crying, and acting up", and not reply to every person that has a gripe with this game.
Nothing wrong with critics. But there is critics and there is like jump onto a bandwagon of sjw's and pile on top of whatever doesn't tickle your fancy.

Lets do a couple bulletpoints.

- Slow story progression.
Many feel things doesn't progress fast enough. Gumpdrops patreon says he creating an "adult fiction visual novel". When you read a novel/book in real life, do you skip to the last chapter because you grow impatient with how things unfold?
Can apply to other things as well, watching a movie with a slow segment, do you fast foward?

- Slow "actual" progression with the game. guy is milking us!!
I don't know gumdrop, what he does in real life or his real life situation. Does any of you? On his patreon it says

"Full-time investment into development is truly a pivotal point for this project. As of now, I've been dividing the month between my work and development, giving me blurry comprehension in when I can exactly complete an installment. If this becomes my work, crystal clarity along with faster delivery will be achievable."

Remember, what a content creator get from pledges on Patreon does in no way or form mean that person have to stop his/er real life job and take it up full time. Would you bet your future on your hobby making adult games and income through Patreon? I for sure wouldnt. Just look at those that bet their future on Youtube partnership for income and the fallout from the adpocalypse there.

Also the patreon system is based on support content creators. Look at all the stuff on Patreon, this can be a wide range of things and by supporting the creator you do not become entitled to GET STUFF. Any of you watch wreckless eating on Youtube? I'm a patreon, but I can in no way or form demand they start to eat shit, because I support them.

- Stupid puzzle/minigame, give us the money shoot already
Yeah I don't really see the purpose of this, but its his choice. I could be vocal about it and complain but it wouldn't do any good. Then I realize I spent time on the silly thing...

End of the day, opinions is like assholes, we all got them, they all smell (and yeah mine included). Constructive criticism is all good. Discussion and debate all good. Sometimes we just have to accept things the way they are and we can't really influence them all that much. But if you want to put forward your views to be actual heard (or ignored), then gumdrops contact information is on his patreon.

To add on to this. Gumdrop has a plan on how he's going to make the game.
First and foremost. This game is NOT about sex. And I agree, that this is not a porn game but an adult visual novel. The vision gumdrop has for the game is to build and watch the relationships your character has with them women around them. Sex in this game is more of a byproduct rather than a goal.
The game is going to be split up in acts. And each act is going to end with a big change/realization in the relationships you have. The story in between is going to be the slow burn to that change.
afaik, act one is only 2-3 updates from ending, so we should be seeing some sort of big payoff we all have been waiting for probably around March.

That is the most ridiculous thing I've read in all of F95Zone. Yes, people are pledging almost 10K a month to see this coming of age family drama unfold.
They pledge to support his work. He is working on an adult visual novel acording to the patreon page. If I watch a softcore movie I don't get uppset because it lack the money shoot. What you see, is what you get. Why are you so strung up in how much he get through pledges? Pledges in generel reflect the sucess of the creator.

On another note. Gumpdrops game is FREE, pledge only get you a month early access to the release.

Look, I'm not a poster, and I don't look into this to make friends or enemies, but you completely missed his point.

You're looking at Patreon as being defined by the Patrons. It's not, Joshua Tree made that point multiple times. There are a lot of people pledging and all of them have different reasons and not all of them are "it's a game with sex innit." I agree with him on the point that Patreon is a creator platform first, and not a consumer one. They don't advertise. Patrons give them money willingly. A person like me that doesn't pledge has no reason to complain. Give constructive criticism? Sure. Talk about what SUCKS in a game that I didn't support? No. Since I don't pay them, I don't have a right to be as invested as I have literally invested no money in it. If you don't like it, i don't see why you waste your time on this game upset while I spend the same time happy.

That's all I'll say, have a happy new year man.

Yo, I'm with you man. One thing I don't like about forums like this is that sometimes it gets full of people that feel that their opinion is so important that they forget that the people that make these games have lives outside the game. Nevermind the wild conjecture about what a developer is doing to undermine their "consumers" and the whole "this is what an adult game should be" stuff.

I'm really enjoying this game. It doesn't need sex right away, just the hint that it will. I was playing Paternal Love and although I really enjoyed it, it started moving into sexual scenes really quick. As if the fore play went from holding hands to blowjobs. I like that this is the one that is brave enough to not go that route. DMD did it right too, if a bit faster than this one. Maybe?

Have a good one man!

I have to admit that i stopped seeing this as a porn game where i have my fap material each update (not that i wouldn't like to) .
- The story is really good, but i, yeah, i would have prefered it if it had a lighter tone and without all those depressed characters ... but i still like it like that.
- The puzzles are a really good idea, on the paper. But in reality it's just a lot of time wasted where he could have improved and added more content in the story.
- And to ease every one here, if we take the father route + the son + the puzzles there is a lot more content in each update than in other game here.

And Gumdrop said on his discord that he's looking for someone to help him, so it's a good news.

Imho, what he need most help with is the actual story to flesh it more out. Not start over, but to start plug in missing holes here and there, and flesh it more out. Gumpdrop got a story he want to tell, shouldnt change anything, just would be nice to have help of a good writer to tie it all more together.

Regarding depressed characters, I think he try put a more real world/life stamp on it. I guess that why so many players get vested into it after all. It become something you can relate too in an akward way. If you look at the situation for the family in this game, what do they have to smile and laugh about?

Btw in the regards of the puzzles, we don't really know how much time extra this take with each release now though after it implemented. He might have spent some extra time to make that part of the game, to invest in later. (give us more time spent on the game later, not necessary time everyone agree on spending. I find myself spend time on it eventhough I didn't like the concept once introduced).
