Not to play Devil's Advocate or anything, but y'all know black guys make the "no dad" joke too... Right? Like King Bach with the "Look at my dad dab" and he's not there or Marlon Wayne with "Never trust black fathers with magic tricks" and then the father ruins away during the disappearing act.
Plug was probably just making a dark joke that many black Americans make themselves. I mean, is it racist to say nobody can understand the Scottish due to their thick accent? That English people have crooked teeth? That the Chinese are rabid about education? Cos a lot of these are true, but people turn them into jokes to make light of them because the reality is just depressing.
Just saying, I've seen enough people online take offence over something that could've been brushed off as an attempt to be funny. If George Carlin can list all the racist, sexist and homophobic words under the sun and get a laugh, then why is a absent dad joke the original sin?

Kinda funny though, because certain jokes and phrases is "okay" when someone of color does it towards another person of color, but if some white dude does the same its like WTF man? what wrong with you... The "old guard" of comedy (or how to put it), a lot of the material that was a riot back then is just not social accepted these days, which is just sad tbh. It's not always how things are said but how its said as well though. Look at like Richard Pryor and even stuff by Eddie Murphy back then, it just wouldn't fly these days...
English with crooked teeth and big ears is a fact though, and the Scottish can be hard to understand. But I bet majority of them know who their father is.
Maybe you can ask my half Egyptian, brother, cousins and full Egyptian uncles or maybe my half Jamaican cousins and full Jamaican uncles how racist I am. After all you was the one who started the black American thing not me.

Well, just look at my avatar! It's Officer Crabtree, an Engishman posing as a French cop in 'Allo 'Allo, a WW2 based comedy. He also spoke in a really bad, stilted accent ("I was pissing by your window when I heard two shats and fart the wurst"). Nazi jokes, gay jokes, horny Frenchmen jokes, cowardly Italian jokes, the show took no prisoners and it's bloody good fun. I grew up in a time when people knew how to separate jokes from serious shit. Hell, it's a fact that most black people don't actually take offence to the stuff they hear, it's normally white people taking offence FOR them. Like how Dr Hibert's voice actor from The Simpsons was fired cos he's a black man voiced by a white guy. Or how gay jokes were removed from Family Guy cos it was "offensive".
What people find offensive now is nothing compared to how it was. Beatings, public hangings, being put in a mental institution or treated like a third class citizen, people have LEGIT complained about Black Magic being BLACK magic... IN A PORN GAME. I mean, imagine how terrible it must be for these people, with homes, and jobs, and respect, and food, and rights, and all this wondrous technology. How they must suffer, god, the slaves had it easy! (sarcasm)
It's as Will from Will and Grace once said in the reboot season: "The second we take what we have for granted is the moment it's all snatched away".
Sorry if I got a soapbox-y, people's sensitivity to things tends to get me into a lot of fights as I'm from the George Carlin school of thinking. So I'm aware I can ramble... Often do. ^^"

When it comes to racist jokes, everything hinges on whether it is actually funny or not. He scored a 7/10 on the funny meter with good delivery and timing, so it's not racist.
