So far there's only one instance of mind control, and it's directed against the protagonist. In later versions, the player can use mind control themselves. But it's not planned to be a big part of the game. Mind control is a well-known feature of the Dune universe, and it's inherently well-suited to a porn parody, but we're not hugely interested in it.

Writers Needed

It has become kinda obvious by now that we have bitten off more than we can chew. As perhaps was to be expected, our vision for the game has expanded over time. We are now aiming for greater complexity and scope than when we started the project. Furthermore, the writing has turned out to be more difficult than expected. It is at this point the greatest bottleneck in our development. Therefore we have decided to distribute the workload of writing, whether it be to existing members of the team, or better yet to new members.

In other words, we are looking for guest writers.

You will have the opportunity to bring some of your own ideas into the game, by writing side-content in the form of scenes and dialogue. The main story will still be handled by our main writer. Otherwise you are free to express yourself within certain boundaries. You will receive guidance if necessary, and in some cases an outline of what certain parts need to contain. That being said, nothing is set in stone. We do welcome fresh perspectives and ideas. That also means that there's the possibility of you adding things that we haven't planned, as long as they fit into our overall vision.

The main challenge in accepting guest writers, is that we need to maintain cohesion within the story, and a unified style, so do expect that there will be some need for refinement and making changes.

If you’re interested in joining our team as a guest writer, even for small scenes or bits of dialogue, please reach out to one of our developers with a message. We’d love to hear from you and discuss how you can contribute to our game!



Filmbooks

We've been working on additional content that would be text-only for the game. You will now unlock access to filmbooks on certain quests, allowing you to read little side-stories set in the Dune-iverse. This type of content is also perfect for guest writers to come along and tell short stories that they wish to see in the game

i like the clothes choice of the old version better. it's closer to classic look, and something that doesn't quite intentionally (or maybe better said optionally) show a lot of skin is better for her imo. but i also like the face, hair, and eyebrows matching the hair color of the new version better.

I like RM new design, but I think it was a mistake to take off her gloves. She looks more natural with them on.

Yeah, gloves would glow her up a bit. Would go great with those semi-transparent sleeves, just like n the old design. Also I love her short cloak - works great with the sleeves. As for the amount of skin - I think an open stomach can actually be interpreted as a Bene Gesserit kinda symbol, kinda fertility/breeding symbolism to it, since they are big on the breeding part. The X-shaped bra thing is perhaps, too small and too simple - something like a lace shawl from here would do better, I feel.

The game is not dead. Releasing what we have now will provide nothing but an unfinished, buggy release and there are enough of those on F95 already.

Looks ok, however... as a big fan (very big fan - i read them all) Frank Herbert's Dune books, two things. Fremens are skinny - lack of water, but tough , all muscle. Jessica, yes, she is a breeder. All Bene Gesserit concubines were chosed for breeding.
After all, that's what BG is - a breeding covenant.

Actually the Bene Gesserit were a socio-political puppeteer organization that perfected eugenic/bioengineer manipulation over centuries of deliberate breeding AND non-breeding of particular family genetics. The very fact that they could self-deliberate the gender of their offspring indicates the depths of their forced genetic manipulations (as certain genes/traits are only passed through specific gender chromosomes). Calling the BG merely a "breeding covenant" is kinda like saying the CIA is just a bunch of government file accountants working 9-5 desk jobs..... sure maybe that's all they are in the small picture, but seriously look at the freaking HUGE picture/timescale.

They were a lot more than just whores. Creating the galaxy's greatest whores, or concubines, was admittedly a big part of their organization, being a means for conducting their breeding program, and gaining them influence with the noble houses at the same time.

The very fact that they could self-deliberate the gender of their offspring indicates the depths of their forced genetic manipulations (as certain genes/traits are only passed through specific gender chromosomes).

I don't remember if it was ever made clear in the books how much their various abilities came from selective breeding, training, and the usage of drugs.
The way I've always understood it, their extraordinary abilities to manipulate their own bodies, such as choosing the sex of one's offspring, stopping the aging process, disabling poisons inside the body, "hibernating", etc. were mostly a result of their training methods, though drugs and genetics might play a part in some of these.
We know that there are other people in the Dune universe who were able to develop superhuman abilities without being part of any breeding program, namely the Mentats and the Guild navigators.

Do you have a rough idea of when there could be an update? Are we talking weeks, months, 2026?

I don't like making predictions. We are not close to a new update. 2026 seems a bit too pessimistic though.
