True, some ppl can't find the path to progress without a guide. It was a mistake of mine in creating an old style classic RPG, with exploration to find what to do. Lesson learned, ppl don't want to explore to find what to do, they want to explore with an objective already.

Second lesson, automatic events. It's hard to track them when there's a high number of automatic events, and that's why the Seer sometimes gives some Hints out of order. Well, I knew that would happen, that's why when you talk the first time to the Seer, she says that sometimes her visions can be wrong. To solve that, pay attention to what the girls say, they are always giving directions to what to do next too.

I'm trying new things, and PDM, for beign a sandbox, is confusing ppl too for the game don't having a "main quest". Luckly PDM for not having a main quest, it is easy to list what to do. In the next version will have a item called Book of Wisdom that list to the player what he can do, in order. In LUFA things will be different, with a more direct approach, with the player knowing what to do. The famous: "One thing each time", instead giving a lot of order options to complete the missions. And don't using Shift button to hide the text.

DUEX was my first big game and I'm happy with the result, and even happier that I could grow as a dev with the lessons learned. I'll add the unofficial walkthrough link in the first page of the game, so ppl can follow it to complete the game and enjoy this beautiful, and somewhat tragic, story. So...

Have fun~~
I wanna note that I haven't been using a guide. I even managed to avoid asking for help in here, up to this point. But I'm just totally stumped.

I have 9 quests completed, 0 active. I've killed every boss-type enemy in every area I can access. The only clue for what to do next is the fortune teller, but her advice is a dud.

Also wanna note that I got the dragon diamond, but when I take it to the dragon statue, it just says the same things "this dragon statue has a cavity in its chest". I even tried using the deagon diamond from my inventory in front of the statue, but that does nothing.

I don't need you to hold my hand through the whole game. But when I get in a situation like this, a little nudge in the right direction would be nice.

Wow, you got far! Don't worry, I did not said that to make fun of you or anyone, it's just that my game designer of the quests was not the best of the world, and I got better with the exp earned making duex.

About the dragon stone, there's two. One dragon stone you can sell, the other one, for the statue, is the Ancient dragon stone, this one is a key item. And, mostly of time when ppl got stuck in this part, that was because they did not recruited Yuki, the white fox in the forest, in the hidden area after the golden statue boss, did not recruited Freya in the mercenary camp, or did not get Mervina back to the party. Maybe the walkthrough can guive you a idea about what to do next.

I hope that you are having fun in duex. Sometimes it's a bit tricky tho find the events, but it's worth it.

Good playing~~

Yaah, I probably shouldn't have, but I took your response a bit personal. I'm old school. I've been gaming since before Nintendo Power even existed (yes, I know I'mgiving away my age), so I'm used to getting by on my own.

Thanks for clearing up the deagon statue thing. The diamond I got does say "can sell this for money", but I was certain that had to be what I needed for the statue.

I got Yuki in the village, and got that scene where she makes me try a potion, and it leads to sex. I don't have her in my party though. I do got Freya and the redhead chick, and the witch in my party. I was trying to avoid it, but I suppose I'll reference a guide.

I have been enjoying the game, up to this point. Even with its quirks, the gameplay is pretty saifying to me. As far as the h-scenes, I feel like there's something left to be desired. But I found the artwork to be absolutely beautiful. Did you draw everything on your own? If so, I'm impressed.

If this was just your first project, and you plan to make other games, I look forward to what you put out next.
