It's hard not to find this very disappointing, and I don't think the new game should have been cause for the radio silence on communication. Plenty of people are checking in for the big chapter 3 drop and it seems e-thots wasn't even touched in the last month+, yeah? People were also being charged to support the project with some basic expectations that weren't managed at all. I think if the scope of E-thots was getting out of control, then the answer would have been to do fewer complicated scope creeps on the game like the convention, which was controversial and took months to get out the door. Maybe this project will be great, but there is no denying that even alternating development time between the two, that this announcement essentially means 'E-thots, now 30-50% slower!'. I also won't pretend to know much about Archipote's first game, Roselake's Lobelia, but didn't that get exactly 1 chapter and then was never touched again to make room for E-Thots?

Totally justified concerns!
But if I can reassure you, I don't plan on developing BootyTrap over the long term, so that doesn't mean I'll be alternating between it and E-Thots, cutting E-Thots development time in half.
Bootytrap is a bit like I've taken a “summer vacation” (a little early though, since I started in mid-May hehe). It's a way for me to "reset" a bit from E-Thots, which I've been working on non-stop since I started, with no breaks longer than a week or two.
E-Thots should resume right after BootyTrap, which I hope you will enjoy just as much
I don't hate the "AI NTR phone game" kind of thing but it's usually made with shitty looking AI graphics and a clunky UI combined with shitty writing to make it extremely boring. I trust that this dev will be able to make a better product than those. Good luck.

This IA new game is literally the same thing again. These 2d i.a slop arts are so boring, they all look the same, uninteresting and of course they are very inconsistent, which is a turn-off. Why not use 3d models? One of reasons people like the others games, i understand wanting to take a break from e-thots, but this is a big disappointment for me. Guess i'll just keep waiting for e-thots then.

Dont look bad, but E-Thot is so damn perfect, that seeing this feels bad. TBH its not worth to wait a single day more without E-Thot because any adult game that exist today.
But you know your drill. If this time of E-Thot will recharge you for keeping the quality, better to wait a bit more than having you abandoning it or dropping the quality.

Honestly, the phone game genre isn’t really my thing, and I’m not a fan of AI-generated CGs either. But if it makes you happy, then that’s totally fine by me. In the end, if working on this project helps maintain the great quality we’ve seen in the E-Thots project, then go for it

Roselake's Lobelia was 'completed' to work on this game, now this game is postponed to work on some AI game. So sad that you have some problems with long-term commitment, because I like your games. But your life your rules. Maybe this AI game will be the first one to be actually completed.

I'm not sure how I really feel yet about the new game and E-Thots being paused. On the one hand this site is already being flooded with AI NTR Phone slop to the point I doubt I could count them all at this point but on the other hand I'm subbed to archipote because I like E-Thots which is a large part due to the writing. If this is what he needs to recharge his batteries to continue E-Thots which is the game I'm subbed for then I can deal with it for now. I guess the thing for me that will determine if I stay subbed or not is the writing on the phone game and how quickly it wraps up and the game I'm actually subbed for continues.
Also, more communication is needed. I don't need constant updates but it takes 10 minutes to post a quick update once a week or even every other week. I subbed at the highest tier specifically because one of the listed benefits was exclusive dev logs and scene and concepts previews and as far as I know there hasn't been a single one that wasn't available for lower tiers anyway.
All that being said when E-Thots does continue I'm curious how it will go. My personal hope is that Avar learns from what happened with Morgaine and not only keeps his access to her messages but finds a way to access both Annie's and Elaine's in order to keep an eye on things since seeing how Morgaine talked to others was half the fun and I'd like to see that with the other girls as well.

The biggest issue here is, even if this AI Phone game turns out good with the writing, which it probably will, having to restart corruption and go through it all over again is tiresome, and who's to say it's even getting completed? The track record of incomplete games is a bit dire at the moment, so I don't feel comfortable supporting something like this as things stand.
There is the fact that he stated the pacing will be faster, and with the exception of the convention, he's always been fast to deliver updates, so there is a world in which the new game doesn't drag around with the honey dicking, and we actually get another update of E-thots this year. But I can't say I'm confident about any of this at the moment.

Once again, your concerns are valid. Unfortunately, I can't respond to all your messages with "No but don't worry, everything will be fine." All I could say right now would sound like an excuse, and I'd rather avoid that. I'm making E-Thots because I like making E-Thots, I'm making a short game because I feel like taking a break to make a short game, that's the only valid and factual way to explain it. So at this point, all I can do is try to release the best version of BootyTrap possible and hope that some of you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it, before we return to E-Thots
In any case, I stand by what I said on my Patreon post: the game will be more fast-paced and already has a more or less established trajectory. So let's hope everything goes well!
By "release" mid-july as per patreon, is it going to be released finished, or an ongoing short project?
This was pretty interesting. Loved the mechanics of the first portion, was disappointing to see the TV channels and different little jobs dropped in favor of the hostess customer thing. Missions held more variety and the hostess style content was pretty sparse on top of being just a couple renders per event, which felt pretty bad as it stretches throughout the first section of the game and then disappears by the time we get to MC being aware of Morgane's incidents. It really sucked having to regularly check what girls have done and what they haven't, then checking all the cameras just to see the mini scene play out. I feel like bulking up those service scenes with more renders and content and spacing when you encounter it to line up with the story on despot progress's would be a really good change, even if it's just limiting how many times you can work a week as I finished it all qui. Just feedback, goodluck OP, if chapter 3 delivers on all the setup so far I'll def sub
