That sucks I wanted to go back and see that scene.
Sounds like they're working to improve the gallery. It's only been a feature since the last update so it's still being worked on. I'm sure it will include everything eventually. archipote seems to be great at taking suggestions and working to make the game as good as it can be.

No, the gallery is a bit "cluncky" at the moment, it's only in its very first form. Hopefully it will improve with time
Speaking of the gallery though I'm planning on replaying from the start to get the gallery full and refresh myself on things before the convention but is there anything in the up coming update that would need a replay? If so then maybe I'll wait to replay until the update is out.

I'm trying to make sure that nothing ever requires you to restart the game (as it used to, when updates weren't compatible with previous versions), so I hope not! In any case, for 2.5, it certainly won't.
But if you want to start a new save rn, I recommend the Itch.io version. It doesn't have the few scenes from the patreon version, but the gallery no longer has the problem of saving Job scenes again and again since i've released the itch.io free version at a later point than the patreon version

But I'll try to make the gallery "clean" itself for those who have a buggy gallery, however not for 2.5 because I still have a lot of things to do and since it's going to be almost two months since the last update, I try to take as little delay as possible

Are we supposed to expect a higher amount of scenes in this new chapter to end things up with a blast, or it will be somewhat in the same vein as previous ones? I figured since it will be an event sort of update, that it would be heavier on the visual side.

It's a very "scenes focused" update yeah. There's not much room in this update for "heavy dialogs", since everything is happening in a single day, but I'm trying to add more dialogs opportunities before it's released anyway.

Which allows me to ask you guys, what do you think of this kind of games? Where there's little dialogue, but lots of CGs that just roll and are easy to find/trigger. "CG hunt games".

Personally, I prefer when there's dialogue to build scenes, so having fewer scenes but building them, but as the convention is a mini-game I thought it was a good opportunity to do the complete opposite this time, adding a bit of variety to the flow of the game.

I feel like if you are not a very good writer it might be in your favor to spam scenes and lean towards quantity. But I'm also not a fan on text heavy games even if the writing is good. So for me there should always be a balance.

For your game in particular you can tell the CG is not the greatest ever, but it's used very well along with the writing. However I do feel that having more CG would be to it's benefit. And I'm not referring to going 180 and changing the game, but adding more in the ways the game already does. Turning single image scenes into more complex ones, having more animations (more videos instead of pictures), adding more social media context to some scenes (Like Morgaine in the second selfie event, where it really just amounts to two pictures, the one Avar sees, and the one that gets posted. Meaning, it's not a crazy increase of CG images, it's actually just two, but the second adds a different layer to the first, so to speak which exponentially increases the scene's quality).

Hopefully this made sense, lol.

Edit: archipote Also just to add to this, your approach might actually help solve my "issue" with the game. The build up thus far has been great, I've been reading all the dialogues (which is unusual) so I can attest to the writing quality, but all this build-up has to go somewhere. So If there's an scene focused update that is a culmination of what we've built up this far, it might ease the players into the next building phase so to speak.

I can't really say because I play the game update by update and not all the way through like some people may do in the future, but I think having dialogue focused sections (kinda like the most recent update) and some mini-game type of stuff (like the convention) would help with the flow of the game a lot. If it was another update of dialogues I think it would get a little tiring to play back to back. Especially since it seems like there isn't any content for the jobs this update, (?) which usually stops the game from dragging on with dialogue in previous updates. You're killing it with this game man good luck in the future I will be supporting on the patreon

Somehow this question had passed right through me... o_O
Obviously balancing both is the ideal, but I feel like some kinks, like NTR/NTS are very context heavy (being too dificulty to convey by visuals alone) and consequently are hotter in text than in pure pictures.
In my opinion, reading Morgane admiting to what she does behind our back would be way better than just getting a scene with no explanation at all.

I actually think that is the case for every genre... a AVN that uses text and pictures/animations together to depict a sex scene is always superior to one that only uses pictures/animations. For nts/ntr there is the added part of "after", learning about thoughts and the like, getting to know Morganes thoughts about what happened trough spying on her conversations adds context that is especially important for this kind of genre I would say, well, at least if you want to flesh out the other characters too and not only focus on the MC :D
