Okay this is my review. Hopefully dev sees this. So I'll start out by saying that I had play this game right when the initial demo hit this site, I thought it had a lot of promise and potential and I really like the concept. Also making it an open 3D world set it apart from a lot of games on here.
I was enjoying it until I managed to soft lock myself and my save point was so far back that I lost the will to keep playing because it made my very capable ryzen laptop sound like a jet engine the whole time I was playing it.
The game itself has definitely made progress since the last time I had played it, though I'll admit it is quite content lite for the amount of time that had passed, and the content that is in the game is alright, but you kinda expect something a bit more from the characters.
How I softlocked myself:
I was at what I assume was the last part of the game with Ms. Bellum and during dailogue with her either my phone was open before or after clicking a dialogue box with her, basically the phone UI made it so I couldn't run through the dialogue and the dialogue made it so that even though I'm pressing tab the phone UI wouldn't go away so I was basically stuck in place by the UI. I have quick fingers and as soon as dialogue ends I open my phone to check the tasks, but I guess somehow I pressed the phone or Ms. Bellum at the right time where the UI layered on each other making any buttons or key taps useless effectively soft locking me.
Things that I liked about the game:
-I liked the cast of characters so far
-Open world map is nice
-I like the cartoony 3D style (Though I idk how I feel about Lois face)
-Sex scenes were pretty decent
-Tasks were simple enough to understand
-Simple premise
Thnigs I didn't like:
-No in-game map. Like I'm gonna admit I spent the first 30 minutes of the game trying like a headless chicken trying to find where my house was, when it gets dark I can't see anything so it was kinda jarring.
-The daylight time seems way too short and the nights seem too long.
-Walking across the town can become a chore especially if its across the map from one end to another
-No way to save apart from Dexters room. Okay seriously I'm willing to be more lenient with the other stuff but this is not excusable, if you can impliment a save option in one of the characters houses why is there not one in the escape menu? If it really was that easy to save my game. (Just press escape and save game) then I would save my game after every encounter just incase something like that soft-lock happens and I have to do a quick re-load. It was really frustrating having to travel in game to one persons house to keep saving. Not fun at all!
Things that I would like to see in the future (In my personal opinion):
-More character wearing high heels with open toed heels and their toes painted (As a guy who appreciates the way of the footish arts I had to say it okay)
-More scense with the feet/soles of the feet in view
-Characters wearing more clothing options than their standard
-More scenes with existing characters
-In game map
-Easy quick save option
-More in-game menu fleshed out: Configurable controls and hotkeys, more in depth display options
-1 Handed mode (seriously this would be a godsend for laptop users without a mouse aka me)
-Game gallery or replay mode
-Way points or visible markers for objectives/collectibles on quests
Overall: The game has made steady progress since I've last played and I'm hoping some of concerns can get addressed. I'm looking forward to the next versions of the game, though I will probably wait another year or two to try it again and see where its at then. But I really appreciate all the work and time the developer has put into the game to make it happen in the first place, I'm glad a game like this exist and the dev is doing a good job at his own pace. I just want to mention all my critiques were for the purposes of improving the game and giving my input into what I'd think would make a better product. I fully support the devs efforts and am a big fan of this project.
All the best to you dev I'll see you again in another year.
