I tried to give this thing a chance because stories that mix androids becoming people and smut should be interesting, and the art for said sexroid is hot... But I couldn't go through with it to the end.
Like. They have a good set-up there, with the MC being a host that get burned and the girl being a sexroid that doesn't want to have sex with some of the literally worst perverts out there and whatnot. There's potential there... but it's not really realized much, as far as I went anyway... and... I just can't turn my brain off enough for this. Magic antenna that's tiny but somehow still powers her up until it gets broken? Fine. Can use semen to power herself more effectively than food somehow, because magic droid? Fine. She can get drunk too....? Ok. Stop. Is she even a fucking android at this point?
Seriously. Ego doesn't feel like an android. Ever. Not in all the time I spent reading up until the point where she gets drunk. Drunk... wtf game?!
Would've been better if they just made her an artificial human, or a homunculus or something and just stopped pretending that there's even the slightest bit of science involved in this, or that she's in any way a robot. Like. Sure. You could argue that she's programmed to detect alcohol when she ingests it and then pretend... but that's not how the scene flows at all and overall it's just bad. Ugh.
I give up.
Nice idea. Terrible execution. Not sure who this is meant to appeal too, but it's definitely not me.
Granted, it might have worked better if I could get behind the characters more... but I can't say I enjoy the personalities of either the MC or Ego, nor am I that hooked in the way their relationship starts and develops. I dunno, it just don't work for me... and given that all this has is its story and vanilla smut, I guess it just can't keep me hooked.
