Showing that AI detectors are bad is certainly not "sufficient evidence" That your game isn't AI. Have you considered showing in progress works instead of this passive aggressive dismissal of concerns?

Imagine making art so well that a person's immediate response is "Only a computer can make this". While art is a component of a game, whether or not it looks good is a subjective opinion. Not every game is going to look good to you. Not every game is gonna cater to what you like. Props to the dev for going the lengths they have to prove their authenticity. I know myself would not be so patient and willing to work with these claims, I'd just dismiss them and look for ACTUAL constructive feedback to improve my game to better the experience for my players. If you don't like what you see, and/or think you can do it better, then do it. Make a game that suits your standards, that's more inclusive of what you would like to see. Whining about "tHiS iS Ai" and other silly comments complaining about it doesn't cater to your every desire and provides no constructive feedback for the dev to work with, and is childish. I understand and completely support people voicing their opinions, positive and negative. BUT, if you're gonna knock on a game, give some actual insight, and research showing and explaining the validity of your opinion and how it improves the game for everyone. You can post more than just words in the comments, my friends. Keep it up Winta Wodenson, you're doing just fine (y)
Accusing art of looking like AI is far from saying "it looks so good that only a computer can make this." where did you get that idea?

I don't understand why the author should have to prove anything to anyone on a pirate site? Let someone assert themselves on the forum, "revealing a terrible conspiracy and saving us from a vile developer." If it makes their day a little better, why not? :LUL:

Well, I want to make clear that this is not AI art. It is hand drawn in photoshop. (And I know that photoshop has AI tools too.) I'm not the artist, (sometimes he is called Nokte, sometimes xnixx) but the artist gives line drawings and multiple colored versions during the process. I don't think AI works like that. I haven't been able to get it to, so that's why we got a real artist. Just kidding. I don't like AI art either, that's why I got a real artist.
Wait?! Not AI-CG?! Holy shiet the drawings are something. Oh, it's reminding me with Artgerm art and some of the artist who's already big before AI since the AI use their drawing as model-training I feel bad for those great artists because their credits are stolen by AI.

Thanks, Nix is a great artist and he is getting better and better. This current release also has our first animation (using Live2d) done by a guy who goes by WD. All they do is the art so since they do not need to spend time on plot or gameplay they get better at one thing.

I can't understand why, but the developer is blatantly lying about the use of AI. This is clearly visible in the artwork. But if you need proof, here it is.

Sophie was caught in a fire and her body was left with scars. If the illustrations had been created by a real person, the scars would be in the same place. But since the images are drawn by AI, the scars are in different places on different artworks. For example, they jump from the left side to the right. Could a real person make such a mistake?

I appreciate the question. The character bust system that we use in the game automatically mirrors the busts based on the position on the screen. If you think it is an important issue I think it is possible to disable it. Attached is the raw file.

And I think you have had the first animation. I think its pretty clear the animation is done in Live2d. That program requires pretty elaborate layering and separation of elements to work.

But I see you got almost to the end of the current game. I hope you are enjoying the story. That and I'd appreciate any feedback on the gameplay you might have. We are thinking of revamping the combat system more than anything else so if you have any thoughts, that would be great.

Aside from doing actual streams showing workflow (Which would still have trolls arguing) I would say ignore everyone.
Thanks, he did bring up a new issues so I thought a brief explanation made sense. Not everyone is a troll and so some simple responses will help with some things, I hope.

I just wish I was getting a little more feedback on the gameplay. I know the story is too short for much of an opinion to be made on the narrative. But this is my first game so I'm feeling out the different game play mechanics and want to get better.

I completed version 1.3 and found the game terribly boring.

The characters' appearance is really good. The story of the world is well thought out and interesting. But the presentation of the adventures themselves is incredibly boring. In the first few hours, the game should captivate the player with either the plot or the gameplay. But in this case, the plot is just pointless wandering around locations, and the gameplay is useless monster slaying.

I was particularly disappointed with the gameplay. The tactics are exactly the same: hit, hit, hit, drink a potion. Nothing can be changed because there are no merchants and we don't gain any experience. Even encounters with bosses don't change anything, as defeating them doesn't reward you in any way.

What's most annoying is the uselessness of the monsters. We play as a butcher, so is our hero really incapable of removing useful parts from crabs or finding ingredients in monsters? Sometimes it gets absurd; after defeating bandits, there weren't even a couple of coins on their bodies.

The mandatory loss was a very unpleasant surprise. I spent all my healing potions on this battle. There's nowhere to get new ones, so collecting 20 ducks turned out to be another hellish ordeal.

Thanks, and this may surprise you, but the fact that you like the art and world building is very encouraging. Without spoilers, the plot really starts in the next chapter. So if you find the world interesting, that was the goal of the first three chapters. Hopefully the plot is compelling as well.

This is pretty good point. I changed it so you get all your potions back after the fight.

I may have underestimated whether people enjoy the grind in jrps. I've always viewed the fighting in jrpgs as the obstacle to seeing more plot. I hated the "wander back and forth to trigger encounters to grind gold or xp to gain better armor or new skills". So I wanted to avoid that, but maybe that is the fun for some people.

I'm thinking of changing the way encounters work and remove random encounters and instead have wandering monster sprites in the game map. Then players could choose whether to fight the enemies and we could give rewards that don't have the potential of breaking the game for master grinders. It's more work, but it may be worth it.

Also, it sounds like you might want more challenging encounters.

Even encounters with bosses don't change anything, as defeating them doesn't reward you in any way.
Well, in fairness here, after killing the croc in Trousby you get a crocodile hide which you can tan and sell. After you beat the slime queen in Apvale, you can find a gem, which you can give to Abigail to gain some favor with her. After you beat the croc in Teigsey you get some mussles and the wet t-shirt scene. Fighting Rocky is why Abigail will start letting you peeping on her. The bandits near Barlsfeld aren't actually killed, but you scare them off. But I get the point. You want to feel a more immediate and tangible reward beyond, on to the next thing and conversations.

I know that this is a porn game and so images are the ultimate reward, but plot wise that doesn't always make sense. Since this is a porn game, to what extent do you feel images should be gated in ways other than story progression? We intend on avoiding any "+1 interaction" style gating. Our plan is a gift style gating.

This pretty early on, I mean our first release was the end of July, so a lot of our plans aren't in yet. And this is mostly a weekend project for us. I'd like to think there is a decent amount of content for one and a half months. Anyway, if you have any other thoughts, I'd love to hear them.

That's the problem. The story should start not with the next chapter, but with the very beginning of the game.

What are the goals of the first chapters? I suppose they are to show the world in which the protagonist lives and his motivation. Namely, why does the protagonist so desperately want to discover his element?

The protagonist lives in a world of magic, where everyone possesses magic to some extent, but this is not shown in any way. Therefore, it is completely unclear why we are constantly forced to traipse around libraries in search of information.

How can this be fixed?

It's actually pretty simple, and you don't even need to change the plot. You just need to add some illustrations in the form of comics.

For example:

1. After defeating the slime queen. The older brother's sword is covered with ice, then he strikes the slime and it freezes. Then the second brother's weapon begins to sparkle with lightning bolts and he smashes the frozen monster.

2. After defeat at the dance. One of the girls snaps her fingers and a stream of water pours over the insolent guy. After that, they tell him to cool down.

3. After defeating the bandits. One of the girls casts a spell on the bandits, who get scared and run away.

4. After defeating a guy while duck hunting. The partner's shield begins to sparkle, the guy hits it with a spear, and his weapon breaks.

5. During breaks. Show any use of magic in everyday life. Filling a cauldron with water pouring from the air, or starting a fire with a snap of the fingers. Or maybe setting up a tent with the help of wind magic.

It is also worth adding special powers to the companions. For example, like the healer girl. In addition to her, we will team up with three other people. So why not give the girl from the first city the ability to increase her defense. Not much, just give her a few extra defense points. At the same time, the brothers should receive abilities that increase their attacks with one element or another. Let's say +10 damage with fire or electricity.

Even the first chapters should tell the story of the main character. His aspirations and experiences. Reveal the environment and problems. And this should be expressed not only in the plot, but also in the gameplay.

That's the problem. The story should start not with the next chapter, but with the very beginning of the game.
Didn't Tolkien spend like 25% of the Fellowship of the Ring with Frodo farting around the Shire? I'm no Tolkien though. I personally find games more engaging with some world building before the plot kicks off. It helps give a better sense of place. But that could be a minority opinion. We are planning 50 to 60 chapters so, but who knows.

Why does the protagonist so desperately want to discover his element? The protagonist lives in a world of magic, where everyone possesses magic to some extent, but this is not shown in any way.
I don't know that he is desperate to discover his element, he is more being pressured by Allison. She's the one that makes him study in chapter 1 and chapter 2. And magic is 95% of the time very low key. Abigail for example has the ability to make the building she is in a comfortable temperature. Abigail and Allison's mom has the ability to make her spinning wheel turn without needed to use her feet. That is hard to show. And then there are the people who don't really do anything with their talent since what it is useful for doesn't interest them. Not everyone good at math is mathematician. And half of people only have a resistance to elemental damage. So, this isn't like Harry Potter. Maybe I should change the description.

4. After defeating a guy while duck hunting. The partner's shield begins to sparkle, the guy hits it with a spear, and his weapon breaks.
This could make sense. Savannah gets a hardening ability next time you meet her so it would be easy to just move that up to Chapter 3. A mid fight comic should be easy to add too, although that would mean one less porn scene...

At the same time, the brothers should receive abilities that increase their attacks with one element or another. Let's say +10 damage with fire or electricity.
Rory currently does have an ability in Chapter 3, but it is actually bugged and he is supposed to have a poison slash rather than swiftness (which increases his chance to crit and ranged damage but that isn't relevant to Rory). We have been thinking about adding a hard advantage/counter element system to combat but we think we need to plan it out some more first.

Reveal the environment and problems.
Well, you learn that sometimes elementals form and cause problems for people. You learn the guards in Teigsey a can be jerks. You learn that there is a gang called the Rustlers around Barlsfeld. You learn that different towns produce different goods. But I guess that is the inherent weakness in episodic story telling. It is hard to build a story where there isn't always an immediate payoff. But we have a few more chapters with the plot mostly finished, we need to get the art in and the quest tracking. Thanks for the feedback.

In the main code we have updated it so that you get back any potions you used. That seemed like a pretty reasonable frustration point for some people. I'm glad to see you came back for more releases.

PS Dev is this actually a 0.2, since the game isn't complete atm? It might throw some people off expecting a game whose core content is wrapped up with a 1.2 version number.
I've decided it was a mistake not to take your advice immediately. I have altered the numbering scheme.

Also, Nix is working on a new splash screen. What do you think?

I got some issues with the early game. More help in the quests would be nice, I got to the second village and had trouble finding the fish. Ended up giving up after walking through the gate turning it night after talking to almost everyone. The art is good but the quests seem a little pointless.
