I'll PM you since this seems to be a bug. I haven't been able to recreate it. I think you found a way to avoid a sex scene with Savannah where you make her thin. Either that or you might be playing 0.5.1 which has some fatal flaws.

That's called airbrushing. Non-AI art uses it too, but low end AI gens like using it a lot.

Also, a mod really isn't needed to tell if this is AI or not, it's very blatantly edited AI. Either the dev's gaslighting by denying it, or getting gaslit by their own artist. Nearly anything you'd look for to identify AI is present in each of the preview pics alone. Anatomy, perspective, background, details, inconsistencies, coloration style, lighting.

Getting definitive judgment on the matter would just recreate

I don't think he's tracing over AI. Look at the e-hentai pictures that were all submitted as evidence. They're all without color. I bet the artist did the quite competent line drawings and then colored it in with AI and that's why we see those exaggerated AI style "airbrushed" highlights.
But that's my guess.

I did go through a process with the mods where I gave them several iterations of various different scenes including the sketch, line art, initial color, revision color, then animation. Some forum members tried to mark this thread as AI but the mods removed it. I tried to PM you to have a further discussion but you do not allow that. I think that AI discussions only derail the tread. Please PM me, especially if you had issues with crashes.

More evidence that this is not AI is that the animation is done in Live2d. You cannot use AI images in Live2d the way animations are handled. Each body part needs to be its own layer so that they can move over the other layers without weird gaps appearing.

Thanks for recognizing that the lineart is legitimate. As for the coloring, it would take more time after finishing the line art to then have AI coloring and then need to go back and relayer and separate and fill in gaps in a way that perfectly mimic the AI generation to enable animations.

I know that Gunsmoke Games auto deletes any AI accusations. They started their game way before AI was a thing and they get AI accusations. I tried to be transparent and didn't delete to explain why I don't think I'm being scammed.

Thanks for recognizing that the "sheen" is Photoshop and copied by AI not the other way around. As far as gaslighting, this may be true, but there are two artists. One who does the art, another who does the animations. The animator sees all the layers of the raw Photoshop image. He would know, so there would need to be two random artists who I found independent of the other and they decided to collude behind my back to scam me. I would have to be pretty cynical to believe that. I get multiple versions of everything

Thanks. I worry whether I spent too much time on world building. But different people like different things in their games. I personally get bored with quick repetitive loops with a +1 rep to the girl you interact with. Over the past couple months we have worked on a stealth mechanic, a simple hunting minigame and some puzzles to add more variety to the gameplay.

The thing I am struggling with most currently is optional content. Once the town is founded, the hope is to add some events that are independent from the main story. I worry that people won't like that you can miss content though. I would appreciate your thoughts on that.

After going through this thread and reading dev's explanations and evidences, there's a 90% chance that this is the artstyle that AI steals from. Good job by the artist, but it is unfortunate that they might need to stay away from the heavy airbrush style because of its association with AI... despite being an artist with the style that AI steals from... Watching your career with great interest, dev, godspeed!

99% percent seems like an exaggeration, but I agree he has improved a lot. The Poison Ivy image is from mid 2023 I believe. About the time that we started working with him, March or April of 2024 he produced work like this which is top tier.



Then the second image you posted is from the end of 2024 I think. I wasn't involved in any of them. But I think his progression is good. He started adding more shine and highlights to his character in 2024. Then he started adding more shadow. I've been impressed with him. He's a good artist.
