Lots of new, good stuff in this update. There's a good start of a corruption system too, even though it doesn't seem to do much yet.
Disappointingly it still looks like there's no option to have the elves gradually respawn in the "open world" areas, like in the very early versions. The world feels empty as it is and your castle feels massive compared to how few elves there are in the world. Of course you can now buy them, but that doesn't feel as interesting as capturing them.
Some other observations:
- It almost feels like the dev noticed my feedback about having a proper throne room where you can display your favorites, which is cool. It would still be nice to have regular beds and other furniture in addition to the anal hook racks.
- Speaking of the racks in the throne room, kunoichis become body horror if you hang one up on them. Their lower body droops in a freaky, rubbery way towards the floor.
- Cheat settings act erratic and seem to reset randomly. Especially the AI setting. Luckily it just seems to be a visual bug.
- The new idle animations are a good addition. I'm sure it's the plan, but I'll still say that it'd add a lot of flavor if they changed with the elf's corruption level. That doesn't seem to be the case at least until lvl 8, which is where I've gotten it so far.
- The game doesn't remember right now whether you had an elf in shackles or not when you pick them up and put them down. That's probably not intentional.
- I'm not sure I trust the AI to free roam in the throne room with it being on top of a lava pit and having no railings. I might have to actually test that at some point.
- It would be interesting if we could consume the babies for souls. I have a vague memory that that was possible in some earlier version with the soul collector, but I might be remembering wrong.
- The random human names the elves have now are probably a placeholder, but they still feel pretty out of place. There are a bunch of fantasy name generators online. Might be useful to just nick a bunch from there, since I doubt there's any kind of copyright on their output.
All in all, the game seems to be going to a good direction and the dev seems to have a plan, which is nice.
