thanks for answer dude!
I meant in-general, because the screenshots don't show much and the tags don't show much either. So... there's a big wonder of what the hell is in the game lol!
tbh I don't know that much about the tags, I though they were enough xd, maybe I'll check that later, and I though it wasn't a good idea uploading too much screenshots but if you think it it will help ok, I'll upload some more later
There's 4 enemies currently in the game; goblins, slimes, tentacles (which are technically a trap), vegan tentacles, and werewolves. There's also the boss but it doesn't really count as an "enemy" although it does have its own scene.
yeah kind of, and the rope thing, its a trap by itself? I don't know, count as a slime variant? maybe, im overthinking it? probably
So, new game maker, I appreciate new blood on the scene. So a few bits of constructive criticism and bug reports.
- Your animations sometimes bug-out where you get stuck in one until you trigger another(by jumping for example.)
- Hiding enemies behind foreground objects, especially behind triggers that cause you to take unavoidable damage is more irritating to the player than something that is engaging gameplay. I encountered one I know is unavoidable, which is a goblin dropping-out of a tree, with a goblin in-front of you.
- It's a start, no idea why you chose that attack angle, but it's not a big deal. I've seen way worse dialogue and attempts to be funny.
- Your animations are serviceable, keep at it, you'll get better. Werewolf one was already a big improvement over the goblin, though the goblin boss was a big improvement over the goblin as well. Maybe saves every few screens? that's just a personal gripe for me possibly. I kept wanting to see what an animation was or if there was a new gameover and having to start from the beginning.
thanks dude!! I'll try to check each one
-damned bugs, yeah, thats an old one, sometimes some commands don't work properly, but its my fault because I made them more complex than I should, I'll definitely gonna check that in the next game, sorry for the troubles
-ah yeah, the goblin shouldn't work like that, my mistake, I tried to make a more fair ambush and I forget to fix it, in the next v for sure
-yeah thats not how lasers behave hahaha, well it was a fast solution, I didn't planned that very well, and know its part of the story, later after some more time, more games made and more budget I'll make a continuation were she's gonna fight back, and its going to be a bigger and polished game, and we'll forget about the weird lasers
-thanks, i've said it quit some times already, sorry for the repetition, but yeah, I actually didn't wanted to strive that much in a big game, I don't have the time, the setup or the budget for it, so i'm doing it kind of lazy on purpose, so I recommend everybody to not take it too serious haha, later I'll make something worth of playing, what do you mean by saves every few screens? there's going to have 3 zones of 3 levels each one, and only one gameover draw for each zone, sorry, I'll take a lot longer If I make them one per enemie or even animated, maybe later...
So, when the werewolf wakes up nothing happens? Is that the end of the content?
yeah sorry for making it too ambiguous, next versions I'll make it more clear, and yeah, after he wakes up it starts the second level which im making, I only make one level and like 2 animations per upload sorry, maybe you should try the game after a couple of updates?, idk, as you like more...
