I used a PS3 controller, but the game teated it as a generic one so I had to trial and error it, instead of telling me the PS buttons or the Xbox ones it just said button 1 to 12 or something, so I had to make my own control scheme.
At the end of the day, you can fuck other people in game. It might not be "exciting" like a usual porn game, but the content still exists.
I think you're having trouble with this just because it isn't as explicit as usual. You can buy and sell slaves, aliens can "impregnate" people and have their babies burst out of them. The npcs regularly jokes about another npc's fine ass. You can have sex with your party members, there's prostitution, you can kill children in horrible ways, you can fish up porn books, etc, etc. The game might be pretty humorous and vague so it's easy to think of it as fairly harmless, but it certainly has some questionable content that I don't believe would be suitable for children lol. The amount of flexibility alone makes it kind of adult in nature by default. Is it as "explicit" and "adult" as most adult games here, absolutely not. But acting like it doesn't qualify as adult is wrong too. It's greyish for sure, but I've seen much worse here.
Some people maybe don't know how much + and custom have added. I don't think the sex stuff used to be as fleshed out, I think base Elona and early + didn't allow you to have sex with your party members if I remember right. You look me in the eyes and tell me that sex description at the bottom of the image isn't lewd.

I am surprised people haven't modded more porn into the game, must be a pain to mod. It did get me to make my own nude sprites for it though, lol.

The game doesn't have to add "nude sprites". The game needs "animations" and mechanics. For example, on top of the bed sprite, a "naked" female NPC sprite, on top of a "naked" female NPC sprite, a "naked" male NPC sprite and "animation" in the form of displacements of sprites of one or both NPCs.
I think that I myself will not be able to add something like this to the game, since such games are either complex in structure, or a "heap of mechanics".
I tried the monstergirl modpack but it hair is slightly off. Is there anyway to fix it?

Look, I'm not gonna say this game doesn't deserve to be here. As far as I'm concerned, any game that won't draw bad legal attention to this site (like a fan-made rework of abandonware) can be on the site. However. This should have a no sexual content tag. Great game but does this really classify as racy enough to be porn?

Mate, there's more sexuality in some cartoons (both American-made and imported) from the 80's and 90's than there is in Elona. Hell, the first Heavy Metal movie was only a 13A-16-ish rated movie when it came out; same with movies from the 90's like Gremlins and Die Hard (which caused the split of *PG and PG-13*). Something being more tame than things rated PG-13 definitely shouldn't be called adult. The way that it demonstrates all those things you bring up so abstractly is exactly why it doesn't qualify.
And no, I wouldn't say that the text in the textbox of your image is lewd; the only thing that gives it a lewd sense is that you know it's in context to the image immediately above, seducing them. Otherwise it comes across as just two lovebirds being romantic and hugging and murmuring sweet nothings in the other's ear, because it was deliberately made to exclude any sort of detail and keep it so simple as to be equivalent to PG movie ratings.
Wow my first time using a full replacement package, that beautify pack completely changes the look/feel of the game. The music is OP too. I really recommend it if you're an older player, it feels like a pretty different game.

Where'd did you even find that monstergirl graphic mod? All I can find is the "beautify" ones on the wiki.

- It's in complete packs. You can also reach a good beginner guide from that site, the "Main Guide" linked there. Those should really be linked in the OP.The "All-in-One" mod there is misleading, it's mostly face portraits. The Monstergirl/Beautify packs PCC sprites with it, unlike the All-in-one that is NPC/static sprites only. The monstergirl/beautify comes with over 100 PCC bodies (Including some nude options), adds a shit ton of clothes fixes for the new sprites, adds more hair and subhair, new eyes, etc, etc. It also comes with like a bajillion face portraits, though the game can only handle so many so you have to rename some if you want to use them.
The whatever works has very little content as well, it seems the monstergirl/beautify is the main thing updated. It will make things a bit more anime by default and turns most the monsters into cute monster girls...so you've gotta decide if that's okay. The amount of shit it adds is tremendous though. One of the best thing is that it adds some PCC sprites for popular characters like the younger/little sisters, and Black Angel god pet, so they'll actually be able to spin around. It also adds a lot of popular anime waifus, Hestia, Aqua from Konsuba, the Nekopara chicks, some SAO chicks, Fate girls, some animal eared girls, etc, etc.
TLDR for other peeps here: Best thing to DL there is probably the Monstergirl/Beautify pack if you don't want to wade through a million downloads to find out what they all do. Also remember if you use a PCC sprite that's clothed by default, you'll need to find a dresser and turn off showing their currently equipped gear or it will overlap.

I more have a problem with people thinking they can decide which games can be here and whining about it when they could just ignore the thread. Massive open world roguelite rpg where you have a shit ton of freedom to do as you please. The game has been worked on for basically, what, 20 years now? It's also highly customizable (especially with Custom). It's the type of game you can easily play for hundreds of hours once you get used to the kind of awkward controls. The base game of Elona is already exceptional, but people picked it up after the developer dropped it and enhanced it far beyond that point with Plus, and Custom adds a bunch of toggles and QoL improvements on top of that.
The only indie games I think that compares to it is Dwarf Fortress/Rimworld in freedom (Though they aren't really open world in the same way). The humor in Elona is top notch too if you're into casual absurd situations. I've never played another game that handled that so well. If you're a fan of Konosuba, it kind of has that same absurd energy of their world. Some examples: You can play as a snail character and salt street cleaners are deadly to you. Panties are a weapon. Characters can be impregnated by aliens and everybody is pretty casual about it. Of course one of the things it's most well known for is the ability to keep little girls as pets (You can ride them as mounts).
It's really big on roleplay potential too. There are so many viable ways to play and grow stronger and make money. It's the type of game where you can do everything on one character if you really want to, but limiting yourself to one type of damage can make things more interesting. You not only have the classic rpg classes available, but there's necromancy that has its own system, and you can try to have a massive party of minions/pets with high charisma while you stand in the back and support them. You can throw potions or random items at enemies to do damage, the game also has guns and some other absurd weapons. You can also just avoid most combat if you prefer and be a farmer or a musician too. Some people have made a living out of prostitution as well lol. Creative types will probably enjoy the game a lot more basically.
The gods in game are really entertaining as well. Protip: If you find a shell necklace drop from crabs, wear it.

I see, it's a massive game not for the faint hearted. Alright I'm interested. But, if it's rogue-like, does that mean when our character dies, we have to make another new one?

Also got into it. They straight-up give you the option via difficulty settings in creation. Def recommend Essential.
You can just choose to keep playing but drop some of your stuff where you died meaning you can get it back if you were in a location like a dungeon and get there before the dungeons are reset and shuffled again by choosing the "crawl up" option on death also after you get to level 10 choosing to do so occasionally might lower stats.
This game is fantastic I must have sunk combined hours of atleast 1000 playing the varying editions of it. It's just a solid loot-em-up roguelike. The sequel in progress looks amazing too. This game really rewards knowledge though so a wiki is very handy. Though thankfully it has rather simple controls once you have most of the essentials sorted in your head.
1: Is your pcc_body_2 in graphics/PCCs okay first off? It should be 128x192 size, 24 bit depth, bmp, and "Do not write color space information" should be checked when exporting from gimp under Compatibility Options (That's the part that can easily be missed and cause issues). You shouldn't be seeing the blue/green there for starters, which makes me think you're using a sprite that isn't 24 bit or something, so the game is picking up what is supposed to turn into a transparent background? Try setting the pants, clothes, hairs and accessories to 0 as well, they are probably fucked and blocking the body with their backgrounds since they layer on top of it and could be what causes the entire body to disappear like that. If the issue persists even when all of those are at 0 and your PCC body 2 is okay, might be trickier to figure out what's going on.
Here's an example of what you should save the files as in gimp btw:
2: What graphics packs have you tried adding? There may be compatibility issues with old packs before some of those save options were needed. I think the old school Elona didn't require the compatibility option to be checked, so old graphics packs probably need to be modified.
