According to his last known to me stance - side hobby. Looking at his current number of patrons - side hobby.does every update take this long to release or is being a game dev just a side hobby for Worlax?
It's been said that the game is in it's early stages. No idea if the creator has a rough idea of how many chapters this will be. Seems like a passion project/hobby/outlet so guessing it'll go as long as the muses are with him with updates being spaced far apart from each other.I like the graphics and the characters but there doesn't seem to be much going on in the game right now unless there are a ton of different paths and I took the worst possible one? The game pulls you in with sweet whispers and then... nothing happens. Don't get me wrong I like the game but would be nice with a little carrot on the stick.

Every game with great characters and story can be prime NTR set up lol. But it's a different thing to actually develop a satisfactory NTR arc, especially in tandom with a non-NTR route focused on the MC's growth and perserverence. It's not as simple as "just add some NTR scenes." You need impeccable planning so the same set up and common node
plot points can work effectively for both routes, or sufficiently divergent branching so each branch can get their own tailored narrative. Both of those methods increase development tine dramatically, so yeah.
Personally, I don't enjoy optional NTR tacked onto a primarily non-NTR story. I prefer hard Japanese NTR with a proper corruption arc. That kinda thing can almost never can be added as an optional route in a game with a hero's journey main story without one, or both, routes spoiling the other.

sorry about the delay, had a really busy month.
The topic of this progress update will be Kara's sprite with some previews as promised last time, and then a couple of other things. Kara's sprite is currently only lineart, but it should give you a pretty good idea of where it's headed.
Below is a side-by-side comparison. In defense of her old sprite, I don't think it was ever quite "finished". And before you ask if Kara wears no shoes - I just haven't drawn them yet. I don't think there's ever an instance where a character sprite shows the feet, so... low priority!
Here's a variation without the apron and with her hair tied:
I'm not 100% finished with the lineart just yet, but I'm happy with the general direction. After Kara, I think Anasteya's sprite is due for a rework next. While her current sprite is not necessarily bad, the proportions are a bit off from what I've been drawing in scenes and I'd also like all of the sprites to be consistent in style. Besides - it only takes about a day to do it when I get a vibe I'm happy with. That being said, I'm not 100% sure if it will be included in the next episode.
Aside from this, I've been playing around with ideas to make certain scenes a little more dynamic - fight scenes, for example. Using Adobe Premiere, I was able cook up this in less than twenty minutes:
I can't post videos on Patreon, so this is a gif - the actual version wouldn't be looping like this. Instead, it would play once and then effectively freeze on the last frame. Hopefully, it will make fight scene feel a little more dynamic (especially once I get better at doing it). I might be able to leverage this for making sex scenes feel a little more dynamic as well, but nothing complex. In Adobe Premiere, I'm just taking the existing assets, moving them around and rotating them - nothing as sophisticated as a penis entering a vagina. But a little camera panning and such might still help make them look more appealing.
Outside of arting around, I've been heavily focusing on tightening up the script for the game as a whole and trying to make a realistic plan for what I can and can't do. There are many things that I /want/ to do but won't be able to in the interest of keeping the story going at a reasonable pace. But that's probably something best discussed in a separate post.
Anyway, that's all I have for now, so let me conclude with a quick sketch of Kara!
